The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice (usually in February and September) every year for selection of Officers in various branches of the force including
1. Flying Branch (Short Service Commission)
2. Technical Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission)
3. Ground Duty Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission)
AFCAT selection process involves following given steps :
1. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT - only for Technical branch).
2. AFSB Interview
3. Screening test
4. Psychological test, Group test, Medical Test and Interview
CPSS (Computerized Pilot Selection System) and/ or PABT only for Flying branch.
