Big E Offers Update on Neck Injury Recovery, Uncertain About In-Ring Return
Former WWE Champion Big E provided an update on his health and wrestling future during an interview with CBS Sports. Big E has been out of action since March 2022 after suffering a serious neck injury on SmackDown. ## While doctors initially advised against a return to wrestling, Big E revealed he ultimately has the final say. However, he emphasized prioritizing his long-term health and is carefully considering the risks involved.## "I appreciate everyone's still asking," Big E said. "C1 is a tricky bone. I broke it in two places, something called a Jefferson fracture... I'm just trying to make the best decision for myself and for my health."## Big E acknowledged the potential consequences of returning to the ring. "Getting in the ring, taking bumps, getting thrown on my back and on my neck is a little bit different," he explained. "I didn't get into this to end up in a wheelchair or worse."## Big E's athletic background makes the decision even tougher. "I've been an athlete my whole life... I never wanted to leave sports hobbled and crippled," he said. "Now at 38, those are considerations of mine and I just want to make sure that I'm making the best decision for myself and for my health moving forward."## Despite the uncertainty around his wrestling future, Big E will join the WrestleMania 40 pre-show panel on both April 6 and 7, available on Peacock and the WWE Network. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...
