Hombale Films Confirms The Writing Begins For 'Kantara 2'
Bengaluru, March 22 - On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the writing for the much-awaited Kannada blockbuster Kantara 2 has begun, Hombale Films has confirmed via Twitter.



"Kantara 2" will be the prequel to the original movie with Rishab Shetty returning to direct as well as playing the lead role. The movie will delve into the back story of folklore that features in the first part.





"On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi & New Year, we are delighted to announce that the writing for the second part of #Kantara has begun. We can't wait to bring you another captivating story that showcases our relationship with nature. Stay tuned for more updates", Hombale Films tweeted.





The shooting for "Kantara 2" will begin by mid of this year and the movie is likely to release in 2024 in multiple languages.

In 2025, the prequel to 2022's Kantara is the first Hindi-dubbed film to breach the milestone.
