Hombale Films Produced Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' To Have A Pan-India Release; Producer Hints

Bengaluru, May 25 - The biggest Kannada production and the powerful force behind the KGF franchise, Hombale Films is aiming to deliver 1 Pan-India film every year. The studio, headed by Vijay Kiragandur, has so far released two Pan-India films in the form of KGF movies, and the result is there for anyone to see.



Hombale Films currently has 14 films under pipeline and a few of them will have Pan-India releases. Rishab Shetty's action thriller, Kantara, which was announced last year, might have a multilingual release. The film deals with the human vs nature conflict but with a twist of fantasy.
Producer Vijay Kiragandur, who has produced this film under Homable Films, said in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama that they are contemplating releasing Kantara in multiple languages, including Hindi. "We'll decide on May 25. That's when we'll see the first cut. It looks pretty good to have a multilingual role, but the final decision will be taken once we see the film", he said.



Apart from playing the lead role, Rishab Shetty has himself directed the movie from his own script. It also stars Kishore, Achuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty, among others in prominent roles. The teaser of the film was released in April this year which got excellent responses all around.



Apart from the aforementioned films, Hombale Films has one of the highly-anticipated Pan-India films in its kitty in the form of Salaar, starring superstar Prabhas in the title role. Directed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel, the movie will be released in the second quarter of 2023. The studio also has KGF Chapter 3, which was announced with Chapter 2.
