I For India concert raises over Rs. 50 crore fund

I For India, a virtual concert that was organized to raise money to help in the fight against coronavirus pandemic has raised Rs. 52 crore fund. Director-producer Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar took the initiative to organize a concert and later many Bollywood and international stars joined it.



The concert has become a massive hit to which, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar thanked fans for their support. Akshay Kumar said, "From our hearts to yours. Thank you for watching.Thank you for responding.Thank you for donating. #IForIndia started out as a concert. But it can be a movement. Let–™s continue to build a safe, healthy & strong India. I For India".



Karan Johar also took to Twitter to express his gratitude towards fans,



I For India concert was streamed live on Facebook on Sunday and become Bollywood's biggest fundraiser concert. The concert featured some of the biggest Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Kapil Sharma, Alia Bhatt and other.



Apart from Bollywood, some international stars including Mick Jagger, The Jonas Brothers, Sophie Turner, Will Smith, Bryan Adams also joined the concert.
