List Of All Current World Boxing Champions

Here is the full list of current World Boxing Champions. The first of the current organizations to award a world title was the World Boxing Association (WBA).

As it should be noted that When a champion is out with some intense causes such as an illness, injury, or unable to defend his title within the normal mandatory time, the sanctioning bodies may order an interim title bout and award the winner an interim championship. The WBA and WBC have often changed the status of their inactive champions to a "Champion in Recess" or "Champion Emeritus".

The current champions in each weight division are listed below.

Boxing Legend Mike Tyson To Face YouTube Star Jake Paul In Netflix Livestream

In a match-up that defies expectations, boxing icon Mike Tyson will step back into the ring to take on YouTube personality turned boxer Jake Paul this July on Netflix.## The exhibition bout, set for July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Texas, marks Netflix's foray into live sports broadcasting. This first-of-its-kind event follows a deal signed by Paul's company with the streaming giant last November.## Tyson, 58, last entered the ring in November 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. – a full 15 years after his official retirement. More recently, he has dabbled in professional wrestling, most recently appearing for AEW in 2022. Despite this, Tyson has expressed a preference for working with WWE, even at a lower financial offer.## Meanwhile, Paul (27, 9-1) has carved a niche for himself in the boxing world. The former YouTube star has garnered fame by defeating past-their-prime MMA fighters seeking a lucrative payday, including Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley.## Details surrounding the Tyson-Paul bout remain murky. It's unclear whether the fight will be a sanctioned professional event or an exhibition, and the number of rounds, glove size, and fighter payouts haven't been disclosed. ## This spectacle precedes WWE's own live streaming venture, scheduled to launch in January with Raw in the US and all WWE content internationally. ## It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss. Ryan Garcia Challenges Jake Paul To A Fight: 'I'm Going to End This Jake Paul Boxing Thing'

Professional boxer Ryan Garcia has issued a fiery challenge to internet personality and fellow boxer Jake Paul, following Paul's first-round knockout victory over Ryan Bourland in Puerto Rico. ## Taking to social media, Garcia expressed his frustration and called out Paul in a series of expletive-laden messages. He declared his intention to end "this Jake Paul boxing thing" and demanded a fight, stating he was "dead f****** serious." Garcia went further, expressing regret for introducing Paul to boxing and feeling Paul disrespected the sport. ## Okay enough, it’s on I’m going to have to do this! I’m going to end this JAKE PAUL BOXING THING. BRING IT ON JAKE IM DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS FUCK YOU! HIT MY TEAM UP— RYAN GARCIA (@RyanGarcia) March 3, 2024 ## pic.twitter.com/QKqLBUi9c1— RYAN GARCIA (@RyanGarcia) March 3, 2024 ## While Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) is a former champion with significantly more experience than Paul (9-1, 6 KOs), currently scheduled for a major lightweight title fight in April, the size difference between the two fighters is notable. Garcia typically fights at 140 pounds, while Paul's recent fight with Bourland was at 200 pounds. Despite this, Garcia would represent Paul's most experienced boxing opponent to date. ## Paul, on the other hand, has recently expressed his desire to face more experienced boxers. He achieved back-to-back first-round knockouts against opponents with some boxing background, but Garcia's established career and championship pedigree would be a significant step up in competition.## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Floyd Mayweather Announces Next Exhibition Boxing Match Against Mikuru Asakura

Floyd Mayweather has booked his next exhibition boxing match against MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in RIZIN. ## The announcement was made during a press conference on Monday, which was airing the event on the new RIZIN Fight Pass service, the exact date of which is yet to be determined. ## “I was just being inducted into the Hall of Fame, which is truly amazing,” Mayweather said during the press conference. “My body of work as far as when I’m talking about my career, I’m truly, truly blessed way beyond belief. ## “It’s still a great feeling now to be able to travel the world and basically do these exhibition bouts and have fun and my legacy is already engraved in stone but it’s still great to go around the world and entertain people from all walks of life. I’m pretty sure he’s going to come out and give his best like any and every guy but I’ve done seen every style. So my job is to just go out there, be me, have fun and do what I do best.” ## Since retiring from boxing in 2017 following a 10th round TKO win over former UFC champion Conor McGregor, Mayweather has been busy with several exhibition bouts, including his first trip to Japan, where he defeated Tenshin Nasukawa with three knockdowns in the first round, causing his corner to throw in the towel to stop the fight. ## Most recently, the 45-year-old fighter dominated Don Moore in an exhibition held in Abu Dhabi and afterwards he teased another bout being booked before the end of 2022. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
