Producer Bhushan Kumar Gives Update On Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Allu Arjun's Film

Mumbai, January 25 - Producer Bhushan Kumar has a pact of three films with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and one of the films is an action thriller with superstar Allu Arjun. The movie was announced a couple of years back and was supposed to start by this time. However, after the blockbuster announcement, there have been no real updates regarding the project, with reports stating that it might have been shelved due to no progress and other commitments of the involved talent.

Putting an end to long-standing speculation, producer Bhushan Kumar has finally shared a clear update on the much-talked-about collaboration. Addressing rumours that the project had been shelved, the T-Series head confirmed that the film is very much on track and has not been cancelled.

Bhushan Kumar clarified that the delay surrounding the project is purely due to scheduling issues and not any other reason. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently fully occupied with his high-profile lineup, including Prabhas' Spirit, which is currently on floors and the much-awaited sequel Animal Park, which has taken priority in his schedule.

At the same time, Allu Arjun also has a packed slate with multiple big-budget films in the pipeline, leaving no immediate window for the collaboration to go on floors. Bhushan Kumar stated that once Vanga completes his ongoing commitments, the project with Allu Arjun will move forward, most likely by 2028/2029.

With Allu Arjun at the peak of his stardom and Sandeep Reddy Vanga coming off massive successes, the film is expected to be a high-impact pan-Indian project whenever it finally goes on floors. For now, audiences will have to wait, but Bhushan Kumar's update makes one thing clear — the project is delayed, not dead.

Stay tuned...

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Teasers Certified by CBFC; Multiple Ratings Signal an Intense and Hard-Hitting Promo Campaign Ahead

The anticipation for Ranveer Singh's next massive espionage thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (also referred to as Dhurandhar 2), has reached a fever pitch. In a significant technical update, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared multiple teaser cuts for the film, signaling that the makers are preparing for a hard-hitting and strategic promotional rollout. The certifications suggest a darker, more violent, and grittier tone compared to the first installment, which has already set high expectations among trade analysts and fans alike. According to the official censor reports, the makers have secured clearances for three distinct versions of the teaser to suit different platforms and theatrical requirements. Teaser 1A has been granted a U/A 16+ certificate with a runtime of 1 minute and 9.6 seconds. More interestingly, Teaser 2 and Teaser 2A have both received an A (Adults Only) rating, with runtimes of 1 minute 48 seconds and 1 minute 9.6 seconds, respectively. This rare move of opting for A rated teaser cuts confirms director Aditya Dhar's vision of dialing up the intensity and packing the sequel with raw, unflinching shades of grit and high-stakes action. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   The massive scale of this sequel is built on the historic legacy of the first part. For context, the original Dhurandhar was a box office phenomenon, recently joining the elite ₹1000 Crore India Gross Club. It became the first-ever single-language Indian film to achieve this domestic milestone, standing alongside giants like Baahubali 2, KGF 2, and Pushpa 2. The first part's unprecedented success was driven by a powerful audience connection in mass circuits, making the sequel one of the most bankable projects currently in production. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel sees Ranveer Singh reprising his role as the elite operative, with Arjun Rampal returning as the cerebral antagonist, Major Iqbal. The 3-day patch shoot recently conducted in Vile Parle was aimed at fine-tuning the high-octane sequences that these teasers will showcase. With the censor clearances now in place, the stage is set for the film's grand theatrical arrival on March 19, 2026, preceded by a digital drop of the film on Netflix on January 30 to further ignite the franchise's momentum.

Dhurandhar Makes History: Joins Elite ₹1000 Cr India Gross Club; Becomes First Single-Language Film to Hit the Milestone

The Indian box office has witnessed a historic moment as the mega-epic Dhurandhar officially crossed the monumental ₹1000 Crore Gross mark in India. In doing so, it has entered a legendary territory previously occupied only by three of the biggest cinematic giants in history: Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF: Chapter 2, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. This Gigantic Blockbuster status solidifies the film's position as one of the most successful cinematic ventures ever produced in the country. What makes this achievement truly unprecedented is that Dhurandhar has become the first Indian film in history to gross over ₹1000 Crore with a single language. While previous record-holders relied on massive multi-language dubbed versions to reach the four-figure mark, the ground-level connection and repeat value of Dhurandhar in its primary language have set a new benchmark for the industry. This feat proves that a powerful narrative, when executed with grand vision, can achieve global-scale numbers even through a single-language stronghold. Building on this unprecedented momentum, the makers are wasting no time in bringing the next chapter to life. Even as the first film continues to draw crowds, work is in full swing for the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, which is officially slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026. To ensure the sequel matches the technical and emotional scale of its predecessor, the production team recently commenced a crucial 3-day patch shoot in Vile Parle, Mumbai. These sessions are focused on fine-tuning key high-intensity moments for the second installment. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   The spotlight during this ongoing schedule is firmly on Arjun Rampal, who reprises his role as the cerebral antagonist Major Iqbal. Described as the mastermind behind the most complex terror strikes in the franchise's universe, Rampal's performance in the upcoming sequel is being touted as even more intense and layered. With the March 19 release fast approaching, these final touches are being added to ensure the sequel lives up to the massive legacy created by the first part. Following its record-breaking theatrical journey, the digital premiere of Dhurandhar is officially set for January 30, 2026, on Netflix. After achieving the historic ₹1000 Crore India Gross milestone, the film's OTT arrival has generated massive buzz among digital audiences. This late January release on Netflix is strategically timed to allow viewers to experience the epic saga at home just weeks before the much-anticipated sequel, Dhurandhar 2, hits the big screens on March 19. With Dhurandhar joining the ranks, there are now only four films in the history of Indian cinema to have breached the ₹1000 Crore gross mark within the domestic market. Dhurandhar Box Office: Ranveer Singh's Spy Actioner Scored Superb 8th Weekend

Mumbai, January 26 - Ranveer Singh's spy action thriller Dhurandhar continues its extraordinary box office run, showing remarkable staying power even amid stiff new competition. Despite the arrival of Border 2, which stormed the box office with an opening weekend of around 120 crore net, Dhurandhar remained firm and recorded a superb eighth weekend at the ticket counters. The film collected approximately 3 crore net in its eighth weekend, an impressive figure for a movie in its eighth week. While Dhurandhar went below the 1 crore mark for the first time on its eighth Friday, the film witnessed a strong weekend jump and returned to crore collections, underlining its strong word of mouth and sustained audience interest. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) After 52 days of its theatrical run, Dhurandhar has amassed a massive 833.50 crore net at the domestic box office and is now heading towards a lifetime finish of around 840 crore net. The film has already secured its place as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. On the worldwide front, the Aditya Dhar-directed flick has grossed approximately 1,294 crore so far and is on course to finish its global run at around 1,300 crore worldwide. With anticipation already building for the sequel, the film's historic box office journey continues to reinforce its all-time blockbuster status. Stay tuned...

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 50: Sunny Deol's Border 2 Impact Felt; Records First Sub-1 Crore Day

After a historic fifty-day run at the box office, the relentless momentum of Dhurandhar has faced its first significant cooling period. On its eighth Friday, marking its 50th day in theaters, the film earned an estimated ₹0.55 crore net in India across all languages. This figure is particularly noteworthy as it marks the very first time since its grand opening that the daily collection has slipped below the ₹1 crore threshold. While such a dip is expected for a film entering its eighth week, the drop highlights a shift in the theatrical landscape as new competition takes center stage. The primary catalyst for this downward trend is the high-profile arrival of Border 2, which made its theatrical debut yesterday. The massive scale of the Sunny Deol-starrer has resulted in a significant reduction of screen counts and showtimes for existing films. Dhurandhar, which had enjoyed a nearly uncontested run in several circuits for seven weeks, saw its premium show slots largely reassigned to accommodate the surge in demand for the war-drama sequel. This loss of visibility in multiplexes and major single-screen hubs directly impacted the film's ability to maintain its crore-plus daily streak. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Despite the current dip, the film's fifty-day journey remains a legendary feat in modern Indian box office history. By staying above the ₹1 crore mark for 49 consecutive days, Dhurandhar has established a record for consistency that few contemporary blockbusters can match. This extraordinary durability allowed it to withstand several smaller releases over the past two months, cementing its status as a long-run hit, that thrived on genuine viewer interest rather than just opening-day hype. The cumulative financial performance of Dhurandhar showcases its status as a historic global success. To date, the film has amassed a staggering ₹1291 Cr in worldwide gross, driven largely by its dominant performance in the domestic market, where it recorded an India Net of ₹831.05 Cr and an India Gross of ₹997 Cr. This massive domestic run was bolstered by a significant international contribution of ₹294 Cr from overseas territories. With these unparalleled figures, the film has officially been declared an All-Time Blockbuster, solidifying its place in the elite tier of Indian cinema. Dhurandhar Weekly Box Office Collection - India Net WEEK / DAY COLLECTION (INDIA NET) Week 1 Collection ₹ 207.25 Cr Week 2 Collection ₹ 253.25 Cr Week 3 Collection ₹ 172 Cr Week 4 Collection ₹ 106.5 Cr Week 5 Collection ₹ 51.25 Cr Week 6 Collection ₹ 26.35 Cr Week 7 Collection ₹ 13.9 Cr Day 50 [8th Friday] ₹ 0.55 Cr Looking ahead, while Border 2 now dominates the national box office conversation, Dhurandhar is expected to maintain a steady, albeit smaller, presence through its eighth weekend. History suggests that films with such strong legs often see a marginal recovery on Saturdays and Sundays as family audiences continue to catch up with the title. As the film nears the end of its theatrical lifecycle, it does so having already secured its place among the all-time highest-grossing films, with its current numbers merely adding the finishing touches to a monumental commercial success.

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Completes 50 Days At The Box Office: A Look At Its All-Time Blockbuster Journey So Far

Mumbai, January 23 - Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has completed 50 days in its theatrical run today, firmly establishing itself as one of the most iconic blockbusters in Indian cinema. From the doubtful pre-release days to finishing at the top, the spy action thriller has come a long way in those 50 days to prove that there is nothing like big screen cinema. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has dominated the box office across circuits, from a solid opening to its extraordinary long run. The budget was massive, and there were doubts whether the film had star power to pull big numbers to justify the scale, but it made everyone fall in love once it hit the silver screens and became the highest single-language grosser in India. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Apart from being the biggest single-language grosser in the domestic market, Dhurandhar has rewritten history by becoming the highest-grossing film worldwide in Hindi, showcasing its appeal not just domestically but also in overseas markets. In India, the film displayed unprecedented consistency, setting all-time weekly records in Hindi from the second week onwards, something almost unheard of for an A-rated mainstream entertainer. The film's theatrical reach has been equally historic in terms of footfalls. Dhurandhar is now the most-watched original Bollywood film in Hindi since the COVID-19 pandemic, recording 3.65+ crore admissions. This remarkable audience turnout reflects the film's universal appeal, mass connect, and repeat value. With 50 days completed, Dhurandhar stands tall as a true all-time blockbuster. Ranveer Singh and the rest of the cast's powerhouse performances, combined with scale-driven action and the growing excitement for Dhurandhar Part 2, have turned the film into a cultural and box office phenomenon, setting benchmarks for the upcoming films to achieve. Dhurandhar OTT Release: Can The Anticipation For Part 2 Make Ranveer Singh-Starrer Biggest Hindi Digital Release?

Mumbai, January 23 - Indian cinema witnessed the unpredictability of the box office when Ranveer Singh-fronted spy action thriller Dhurandhar created history by going against all odds. Until December last year, no one had thought that there would come a movie to challenge Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2's records within a year (of course, bigger movies are coming in 2026, but that's a different matter), which will not only challenge the Pan India biggie but also become the biggest Hindi grosser of all time. Now, Aditya Dhar's directorial is gearing up to release on Netflix on January 30, but the question is, can the digital release of the movie create the same impact as it has done on the big screens? There are multiple factors which suggest that Dhurandhar might become the biggest Hindi release ever on digital platforms, and one of the biggest reasons for that is the anticipation of Dhurandhar Part 2. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Dhurandhar worked because of the powerful performances, strong narrative, and complete conviction of director Dhar, yet it left so much for part 2 to explore, as it was originally planned as a single-part film before the makers split it into two parts. The anticipation for Dhurandhar 2 is huge, and that is going to play a lot when the film hits digital. Once the film hits Netflix post its 8-week theatrical run, those who have already watched the film in theatres are expected to revisit it on OTT to reconnect with the narrative and decode hints about what lies ahead. Additionally, a large section of the audience that missed it on the big screen is likely to catch up on digital platforms, driven by the constant buzz around the sequel. With conversations around Part 2 gaining momentum, the first film becomes almost mandatory viewing for fans who want to fully understand what happened in the movie, further boosting its viewership. Considering its unprecedented theatrical reach and the strong curiosity for the upcoming film, Dhurandhar has all the ingredients to become the most-viewed Hindi film, direct or indirect, on Netflix. Dhurandhar vs Pushpa 2 Box Office: Week-Wise Comparison Between Two Biggest Hindi Blockbusters

Mumbai, January 22 - The Hindi box office has witnessed a historic shift as Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has officially emerged as the biggest Hindi net grosser of all time, collecting a staggering 830 crore net in India so far. The action-packed entertainer recently overtook Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which wrapped up its Hindi theatrical run with an extraordinary 812 crore net. While Pushpa 2 stormed the box office with a thunderous opening and dominated the initial weeks, its collections started dropping big after 4-5 weeks, which is completely normal for a frontloaded starter. Despite that, the film rewrote records for a dubbed release and proved the massive pull of the Pushpa franchise in the Hindi belt, driven by Allu Arjun's growing popularity and the brand value created by the first part. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) On the other hand, Dhurandhar showcased exceptional long-run stamina, with exceptional weekday holds and sustained collections well into its later weeks. It has been owning weekly records since the second week, which is remarkable for an adult-rated film. Backed by positive word of mouth and strong recall value, the film steadily closed the gap before eventually surpassing Pushpa 2 to claim the all-time crown. The week-wise trend shows that after dominating the first week, Pushpa 2 started lagging behind the Bollywood mega blockbuster. With Dhurandhar now reigning at the top and Pushpa 2 firmly placed as a close second, these two mega blockbusters have redefined benchmarks for Hindi box office performance, underlining the growing dominance of big-scale, mass-driven cinema in India. Border 2 vs. Dhurandhar 2: Exhibitors Reportedly Reject Anil Thadani's Clubbing Strategy for Yash-Starrer Toxic

The distribution landscape for 2026 is witnessing a high-stakes standoff between major film distributors and theatre exhibitors. According to a scoop by Bollywood Hungama, veteran distributor Anil Thadani (AA Films) is reportedly attempting to use the massive leverage of Sunny Deol's Border 2 to secure prime showcasing for another highly anticipated project, the Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. This clubbing strategy is a common industry practice where a distributor mandates that exhibitors screen a specific slate of films as a package deal in exchange for the rights to a guaranteed blockbuster. However, this move has reportedly met with significant resistance from exhibitors, primarily due to the impending arrival of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2. Following the All-Time Blockbuster status of the first Dhurandhar in 2025, the sequel starring Ranveer Singh has become one of the most sought-after titles for 2026. Theatre owners are currently hesitant to sign any restrictive package deals for Border 2 and Toxic because doing so would severely limit their ability to allot the required number of screens and shows to Dhurandhar 2 during its release window. The conflict stems from the sheer volume of high-profile content scheduled for the first half of 2026. As previously reported, Border 2 already carries a massive 199-minute runtime and distributors have already demanded up to 20 shows a day in major multiplexes. Exhibitors argue that if they are further forced to commit a specific number of screens to Toxic as part of a clubbing deal, they will have virtually no flexibility to accommodate the Dhurandhar Universe sequel, which is expected to command a similar, if not larger, screen count. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Trade analysts suggest that this pushback from exhibitors highlights the changing dynamics of film exhibition in the post-pandemic era, where content is king and theatre owners prefer the freedom to program based on organic demand rather than distributor pressure. While Anil Thadani remains one of the most powerful figures in film distribution, the record-breaking success of the first Dhurandhar has given exhibitors enough confidence to negotiate terms that allow them to capitalize on multiple blockbusters rather than being tied to a single distributor's slate. As of now, negotiations are reportedly ongoing. The outcome of this standoff will likely dictate the initial screen count for both Toxic and Dhurandhar 2. With Border 2 already poised for a historic Republic Day opening, the industry is closely watching how these logistical battles play out, as they will ultimately determine the box office potential of 2026's biggest cinematic events.

Dhurandhar Box Office: Film Shatters Stree 2's 7th Week Record; Vicky Kaushal to Reprise Uri Role in Dhurandhar 2

Director Aditya Dhar is officially expanding his directorial footprint by creating a massive cinematic crossover. According to a report by Mid-day, Vicky Kaushal is set to feature in an extended cameo in the upcoming sequel, Dhurandhar 2. In a major twist for fans, Kaushal will be reprising his legendary role as Major Vihaan Shergill from the 2019 blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike. This move confirms the formation of a Dhurandhar Universe, strategically linking Dhar's previous military masterpiece with this current franchise. The integration of Major Vihaan Shergill into Dhurandhar 2 is a significant narrative development. Despite Uri being set in 2016, Aditya Dhar has reportedly woven the character into the new storyline seamlessly. The cameo is expected to be high-impact, featuring several action blocks. While it remains to be seen if Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh's characters will share the screen, the inclusion of the Uri lead adds immense star power to the sequel.
