Mumbai, October 10 - Director Siddharth Anand has teamed up with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for gangster action thriller King, after delivering a massive blockbuster Pathaan in 2023. As the fans await the film, Siddharth's latest social media post has sent them into a frenzy.

On Thursday (October 9), the blockbuster director took to social media and posted a cryptic message. The simple yet intriguing - "Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock." - has sparked excitement among the fans as they assume that the official announcement of the film with the first look teaser is around the corner.

If the reports are to be believed, the first look teaser of King is expected to be dropped on November 2, on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday. Meanwhile, the shooting of the film is currently going on in Poland, where dialogue-heavy and dramatic scenes are being filmed since SRK is still not cleared to perform high-intensity stunts due to his recent shoulder injury.

"SRK, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, and others have been filming the emotional, dialogue-heavy portions in Poland since early September. By October 20, they'll wrap the Poland schedule, completing nearly 70% of the film's production". SRK is expected to resume action by December or January.

The production of King is expected to be wrapped by mid-2026, as the makers are eying to release the film by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Production, King also stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukherji, Anil Kapur, and Abhay Varma, among others, in key roles.

But the makers feel that Tu Meri Zindagi Hai fits perfectly while avoiding legal complications. "It's a classic love story with Basu's signature treatment of the genre. With the release more than six months away, it gives the team time to weave in some additional tracks. The Subhash Kapoor directorial minted approximately 5 crores net in its third weekend, pushing total net collection to 108 crores in 17 days. The third weekend trend, though, is on the lower level overall, indicating that the movie has some gas still left, which should help it reach 115 crores lifetime net collection. Jolly LLB 2 is currently the biggest grosser of the franchise with 117 crores net collections. It needs to be seen if the third instalment can cross that figure and become the biggest net grosser of the franchise.
