Roman Reigns Suffers Injury At SummerSlam, WWE Awaits Results Of Tests

Pensacola, 8 August 2023 - At SummerSlam on Saturday, Roman Reigns held onto his WWE Universal Championship by defeating Jey Uso in a match they call Tribal Combat. This was Reigns' fourth time defending his title this year. He's been the champ for about 1,070 days and he's not planning to let go of his title anytime soon. ## In the championship match, something unexpected happened. Jimmy Uso, who is Jey's brother, suddenly showed up and turned against his own kin. This surprise move from Jimmy gave Reigns the help he needed to keep his title. ## According to the latest report from Dave Meltzer, Roman Reigns got hurt early during his match with Jey Uso at SummerSlam. The severity of the injury is unknown but he is scheduled to be at At SmackDown on Friday. ## "He's gonna be back Friday. Roman Reigns got hurt in that match...I haven't watched the beginning of the match over again but I heard it was relatively early...I don't know the nature of the injury, I just heard he worked the match hurt. He got hurt early in the match. I don't know what his schedule is but he's going to be on the show Friday night. I would presume he's going to be on Survivor Series, I don't know that as fact," Meltzer said. ## As reported earlier, WWE will put on Payback and Fastlane in September and October respectively, and Reigns will reportedly be on neither show. With no mention of the WarGames concept in the poster, which was anticipated due to its introduction last year, fans are curious about its potential abandonment. ## Also, WWE is all set to come to Chicago for the 2023 Survivor Series at the Allstate Arena on November 25th. With the event coming soon, WWE recently released the first poster, which caused stress on social media. This could be because the poster doesn't feature Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Wrestling News...
