'Mirzapur' Series To Be Adapted Into Theatrical Film; Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, October 28 - In a landmark move, Amazon Prime Video's hit crime thriller web series Mirzapur is set to be adapted into a theatrical film. Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment will produce it. ## The series explores power dynamics and the criminal underworld in the heartland of northern India. The theatrical adaptation, set to debut in 2026, is one of the first instances when a major streaming product is being made into a theatrical film. ## The film will feature the return of the show's principal cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi. Abhishek Banerjee is also confirmed to reprise his role as the Compounder. ## In another significant move, the film will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video only after 8-weeks of theatrical release. Mumbai, August 9 - The biggest of the month, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy Stree 2 is set to hit the big screen within a week on August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day. It is the sequel to 2018's blockbuster, Stree, directed by Amar Kaushik.## Stree 2 has been certified with a 'U/A' certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes (149 minutes).
