Mumbai, October 20 - After the box office debacle of Yash Raj Films' War 2, director Ayan Mukerji seems to have started work on Brahmastra Part 2 - Dev, which was supposed to be his next directorial after Part 1 in 2022. The filmmaker has shared a series of pictures which have sparked a fresh buzz for Part 2. On October 19, Ayan took to Instagram to share some pictures from what looks like a mountain getaway in Uttarakhand and captioned them as Pt. 2 with an Om emoji, which hints at the Brahmastra Part 2. Fans also spotted a blurry glimpse of the script of Brahmastra Part 2 in his pictures. The latest post by Ayan Mukerji has almost confirmed that Brahmastra 2 will be his next directorial, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles. With this, it has also been confirmed that he won't be directing YRF's Dhoom 4, which will reportedly be headlined by Ranbir Kapoor. Ayan was the first choice to helm the fourth instalment of the heist actioner, but the disastrous box office result of War 2 has made the makers rethink the strategy. According to Bollywood Hungama, "Ayan believes that films like War 2 and Dhoom 4 were never meant for him, and he wants to do something a lot wider with scope for romance, drama with spectacle vibes and storytelling".
