Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani Starrer War 2 To Launch First Song 'Aavan Jaavan' on July 31; Kesariya Team Reunites

The countdown begins for fans of music and high-octane action alike! The makers of War 2 have officially announced that the film’s first song, titled ‘Aavan Jaavan’, will release on July 31. What makes this launch even more exciting is the reunion of the blockbuster Kesariya team — director Ayan Mukerji, composer Pritam, singer Arijit Singh, and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya — coming together once again to weave magic. ##Starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in lead roles, War 2 is the next explosive chapter in the YRF Spy Universe, following the success of War (2019). Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film promises a gripping blend of slick action, global stakes, and emotionally charged storytelling. It is also set to feature NTR Jr., expanding the universe into a pan-India narrative. ##‘Aavan Jaavan’ is expected to offer a romantic, melodic contrast to the film’s adrenaline-fueled core — much like Kesariya did for Brahmāstra — and will likely serve as a central emotional thread in the story. As War 2 builds toward its massive theatrical release, this song drop marks the beginning of an intense promotional wave, setting the tone for what could be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.

Sona Mohapatra: Lockdown has reset our response to music, life

Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) Singer Sona Mohapatra has come out with a cheeky version of singer Arijit Singh's number "Zaalima" and said the quirky do-it-yourself (DIY) music video was created as an artistic response to the lack of songs featuring female voices in mainstream music.## "I think the lockdown has reset our response to music, art, and life in general. It's brought us back to basics & it's reflected in the music heard around the world. People now enjoy music that's more minimal & stripped down because it feels more handmade, personal, and authentic. This is why I decided to release this reprise version of a song for music lovers that was supposed to be part of the original soundtrack," she said.## The lyrics of the reprised version of the song, which was originally pictured on Shah Rukh Khan and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.## "He is the biggest hitmaker lyricist of his generation and a dear friend of Ram and mine," Sona added.## She said she feels proud of being an artiste who might have alienated herself in Bollywood.## "The cheeky DIY music video was created as an artistic response to the lack of women songs in mainstream music and I feel proud of being that artist who might have alienated herself in Bollywood for calling out such sexist biases but will surely make things better for the coming generation of female artists for speaking up the truth," she said.## Stay tuned...

Lockdown diaries: Sona Mohapatra is working on new songs

Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) Singer Sona Mohapatra is using the lockdown period to work on original music. She is spending a lot of time in her home studio with composer and partner, Ram Sampath, working on new songs and collaborations.## "During the lockdown period, I have this newfound energy to work on a variety of music. There are no commercial pressures, no race against time to meet a deadline and it's now that I am doing some of my best, most gratifying work. I am exploring new genres, new tunes and a large variety of music," said Sona.## "I just spoke to the prolific songwriter and multiple award-winning lyricists Amitabh Bhattacharya about the current music scenario. Ram and I had last worked with him on the soundtrack of 'Delhi Belly'. We have decided to create some beautiful love ballads together, the kind that has gone missing from our mainstream nowadays. I'm also working with a lot of new, younger talent who are bursting with ideas," she added.## Ram shared that slowing down has helped them appreciate the things they took for granted and that has flowed into the creative process. "It's brought the focus back on the roots of music: melody, lyrics and a sense of hope for the future. We have too much and want too much. This time has taught us to work on what we need. That's at the heart of this creative phase".## For more and latest news about Bollywood, stay tuned with us.
