Saiyaara Breakout Star Aneet Padda To Lead Maddock Films' Next Horror-Comedy Shakti Shalini, Replaces Kiara Advani

Mumbai, September 19 - Debutante actress Aneet Padda became an overnight sensation after the success of Saiyaara under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It was not only a dream debut for the actress, but it also announced the arrival of a new female star who scored praise for her acting skills. Well, it didn't take long for Aneet to bag her next big project as he has been roped in to headline Maddock Films' next horror comedy Shakit Shalini. According to the report by Pinkvilla, Aneet Padda will spearhead Shakti Shalini and has already completed the look test for the film. Mumbai, September 17 - After scripting history at the box office, debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda's romantic drama Saiyaara continues to wave its magic as it has taken Netflix by storm by emerging as the number 1 non-English movie worldwide this past week. Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara started streaming on Netflix from 12 September after completing the mandatory 8-week theatrical run. Despite the majority of its target audience having already watched it in theatres, the film has soared to number 1 on the streamer with 3.7 million (37 lakh) views in the first 3 days. With 3.7 million views or 9.3 million viewing hours, Saiyaara is among the most-watched Indian films in the first weekend on Netflix this year.
