Lokesh Kanagaraj To Start 'Kaithi 2' With Karthi In April 2025: Report
Chennai, June 30 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's cinematic universe, comprising actor Karthi's Kaithi, Kamal Haasan's Vikram, and Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, is one of the most successful cinematic universes in India with ever-growing popularity with each film. ## The most recent film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe was Leo which is also the highest-grossing film in the series. Now, according to the report by DT Next, the next movie in the LUC will be Karthi's Kaithi 2 and the shoot for the same will start in April 2025. ## Director Lokesh is currently preparing to start the highly-awaited, Coolie, starring legendary Rajinikanth. Kaithi 2 will be his next after Rajini's blockbuster which is expected to wrap filming by the end of this year. ## Karthi, on the other hand, is gearing up for the shoot of Sardar 2, a sequel to his superhit film released in 2022. Before Kaithi 2 in April 2025, Karthi will reportedly do one more film apart from the Sardar sequel. It will reportedly be directed by Tamizh of Taanakaran fame and the shoot for the same will commence in October this year. ## Meanwhile, Kaithi 2 will see Karthi reprising his role as Dilli, an ex-prisoner. The movie will reportedly focus on his backstory and what happened in his life that connects him with the characters Adaikalam (played by Harish Uthaman) and Anbu (played by Arjun Das). ## Stay tuned...
