Box Office: 'Jurassic World Rebirth' Projected To Storm $250+ Million Opening Worldwide

Los Angeles, July 3 - The dinosaurs are back, and they're eyeing a big box office debut. Universal Pictures' sci-fi thriller Jurassic World Rebirth is tracking for a $250+ million global opening over the five-day weekend, signalling a strong resurgence for the blockbuster franchise. ## Directed by Gareth Edwards, the fourth instalment in the Jurassic World series launched midweek on Wednesday to capitalise on the extended Fourth of July U.S. holiday window. According to Deadline, the film is forecast to rake in $120–130 million domestically during its first five days. ## While this is a slight dip from the previous entry, 2022's "Jurassic World: Dominion", which opened to $145 million, industry watchers remain optimistic. The original "Jurassic World" (2015) still holds the franchise's domestic opening weekend record at $208.8 million, followed by "Fallen Kingdom" (2018) with $148 million. ## Internationally, Jurassic World Rebirth is expected to generate $130 million across 82 markets, pushing its worldwide debut into the $250+ million range. Though below the heights of 2015's $525.5 million global debut, Rebirth’s forecast positions it as a significant player in this summer’s box office landscape. For context, Dominion opened globally to $390 million. ## The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Ed Skrein. Set five years after the events of Dominion, the plot follows a daring expedition to remote equatorial regions, where scientists seek DNA from colossal prehistoric species in a quest for a revolutionary medical breakthrough. ## With star power, nostalgia, and prehistoric thrills, Jurassic World Rebirth looks ready to stomp its way to a mammoth success. ## Stay tuned...

Marvel Studios Scrapped Plans For 'Eternals 2'

Mumbai, August 14 - Marvel Studios has reportedly scrapped plans to develop Eternals 2 after the first movie didn't do well at the box office. Marvel Studios Returning To San Diego Comic-Con After 3 Years To Give The Glimpse Into MCU Projects

Los Angeles, June 25 - Marvel Studios will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con after 3 years. Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed the development during a virtual press conference on Friday for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.## San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is scheduled to take place in July this year and the announcement of Marvel's presence has come out as a major boost for the event. SDCC canceled its in-person conventions in July 2020 and July 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.## Although a pared-down Comic-Con did take place at the San Diego Convention Center over Thanksgiving weekend in 2021, Marvel did not hold any panels during the event nor did it participate in the virtual Comic-Con@Home events that replaced the July 2020 and 2021 conventions. ## Marvel panel has always been the center attraction at SDCC as people have been keen to know what Marvel has in its store for the future. Even though Kevin Feige and Disney have not clarified Marvel's exact plans for this year's SDCC, the studio is expected to make a plethora of announcements and may give a glimpse of where MCU's future is heading, especially as Phase 4 has been quite diverse in its offerings. ## According to Variety, the upcoming films and shows set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that could be teased during the convention include this November's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", next year's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" and "The Marvels", and undated projects such as "Blade" starring Mahershala Ali along with Disney+ shows. ## The SDCC event will take place from July 21 to July 24 at the San Diego Convention Center. ## Stay tuned...

Marvel India Made A Blunder By Announcing 7 October 2022 Release Date For Mahershala Ali's 'Blade'?

Mumbai, October 5 - Marvel is a huge film franchise in India and its movies have always been a big screen fest for the fans. On Tuesday (October 5), Marvel announced its slate of 2021 and 2022 movies with release dates on Marvel India Twitter handle. Disney is the distributing partner for Marvel movies.## Among the six Marvel films announced with release dates, Mahershala Ali's "Blade" was one of the movies in the list, which is shown with a October 7, 2022 date. While it is a great news for the fans, it would be an uphill task for Marvel to retain that release for the film. The film is currently in the pre-production stage and isn't set to begin filming until July 2022. ## It's no secret that Marvel Studios has a packed slate in 2022 and it if really wants to retain "Blade's" release in October, the studio will get maximum 3 months for the production, which is imposible considering a lot of time in post-production will be used. So why did an official Marvel account claim a false date? The most probable scenario is that, originally, Blade was slated to premiere on October 7, 2022 prior to its production being pushed back due to the ongoing health crisis. ## Marvel Studios had originally announced "Blade Reboot" in MCU during the 2019 edition of San Diego Comic-Con with award-winning actor Mahershala Ali in the lead. It will be directed by Bassam Tariq and is written by Staci Osei-Kuffour. Apart from Ali, there is no confirmed cast memeber has been announced yet and there are no sign of production taking place anytime soon. Considering all the aspects, it is clear that Marvel India has made a big blunder by announcing 7 October 2022 release. ## Previously, The Hollywood Reporter had revealed that Blade's production was moved from September 2021 all the way to July 2022 which further cements the fact that this October 2022 release date is the film's original date. At this stage, there's a strong chance that Blade could be taking the October 6, 2023 placeholder date for Marvel Studios.## Stay tuned...
