Chennai, October 1 - Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up to commence the final film before his political entry. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the movie was officially announced recently with H. Vinoth getting the chance to direct arguably the biggest superstar of Tamil cinema. ## The leading Kannada production house, KVN Productions is making its debut in Tamil cinema with T69 and the studio announced on October 1 that the cast of the film will be announced over the next three days. Mumbai, June 25 - In 2022, it was reported that actor Ayushmann Khurrana and producer Dinesh Vijan would team up for a horror-comedy film and later it was revealed that the title of the movie was Vampires of Vijay Nagar. In July 2023, Maddock Films officially confirmed the movie and now, there is an update on the same. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, national crush Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead in Vampires of Vijay Nagar which will be directed by Aditya Satpodar whose directorial, Munjya is currently playing in theatres at the back of Superhit box office collection. ## Previously, there were rumours that Samantha Ruth Prabhu would play the female lead but there was no reliable update on the same. Hyderabad, August 19 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu coming together for the romantic drama film "Kushi". Directed by "Majili" fame Shiva Nirvana, the movie is scheduled to release on September 1st in multiple languages, including Hindi.## "Kushi" is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies which is carrying good buzz among the fans as well as the trade. According to T2BLive.Com, the movie has done a pre-release theatrical business of 52.50 crores which is one of the highest for a mid-range Telugu movie.## The total Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical rights have been sold at approximately 41 crores, including 15 crores for Nizam and 6 crore for Ceeded area. The ROI rights are said to be around 4.50 crores while overseas business is 7 crores. Tokyo, July 19 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's period action drama film "Rangasthalam" was released in Japan on July 14 and did decent business in the opening weekend on the limited screens. ## Directed by Sukumar, the all-time blockbuster movie reportedly grossed ¥10.1 million or approx. 60 lacs on its 3-day opening weekend with approx. 7200 admissions. The opening weekend collection of the movie failed to beat the opening day numbers of Ram Charan and Jr. NTR's "RRR" which grossed ¥18 million in October last year.## "Rangasthalam" was released around 70 screens in Japan and grossed 2.5 million yen on its opening day. It is expected to have a good run as the word of mouth among the Japanese audiences is super positive.## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, "Rangasthalam" was an industry hit during its release in 2018 in Telugu. It grossed over 200 crores at the worldwide box office and became the highest-grossing film in Ram Charan as well as Samantha's career. ## Meanwhile, the all-time blockbuster period action drama Kannada movies, "KGF 1" and "KGF 2", starring superstar Yash were also released in Japan on July 14 and they combined grossed ¥11 million or 65 lacs in the opening weekend with approx. 7840 admissions.## The original KGF movie grossed ¥5.8 million (35 lacs) with 4120 admissions while its sequel earned ¥5.2 million (30 lacs) with 3720 admissions. The word of mouth is decent for both the films and it will be interesting to see how they perform going forward.## Directed by Prashanth Neel, the two KGF films grossed approx. 1450 crores at the worldwide box office in their first runs.
