Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is scheduled to release on October 21st, clashing with Maddock Films' Thamma. According to reports, the film has been censored with an A-rating (18+) by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it the first A-rated Diwali release in more than two decades. It is said that CBFC has asked to modify a 2-minute 12-second shot, apart from replacing some dialogue. The approved theatrical runtime is said to be 2 hours and 20 minutes, which is nearly 10 minutes short of Thamma. The movie was censored on October 16. Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which initially appeared to be a smaller contender, is steadily gaining momentum. The film's buzz has reportedly grown stronger in recent days, surprising trade analysts and exhibitors alike. According to reports, the makers of Deewaniyat have now demanded equal showcasing in national multiplex chains, challenging Thamma's presumed dominance.
