Box Office: 'Skanda' Scored Biggest Opening For Actor Ram Pothineni
Hyderabad, September 29 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni and director Boyapati Sreenu's maiden collaboration Skanda has had a very good start at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. The movie eventually scored the biggest opening for the actor, beating the previous record-holder "iSmart Shankar". ## The action drama film scored 14.50 crores gross on domestic opening day, including 13.50 crores gross in two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). The AP-TG share collection of the movie is 8.62 crores, which is the highest for Ram Pothineni. "iSmart Shankar" had approximately 7.70 crores AP-TG share collection.## The AP-TG opening of "Skanda" is the 4th biggest among tier-2 Telugu actors, after "Dasara", "Kushi", and "Liger". Overseas, "Skanda" grossed approximately 2 crores for 16.50 crores worldwide on opening day. "iSmart Shankar" was the previous biggest worldwide opener for the actor with approximately 13 crores gross collection.## The movie has decent audience word of mouth while critics' reviews are mixed. The weekend will be crucial for the movie as it needs to gross around 75 crores worldwide to break even and emerge as a box office hit.
