Vikrant Massey As Antagonist In Ranveer Singh's 'Don 3'?

Mumbai, January 28 - Back in August 2023, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar announced the next chapter in the Don franchise. Ranveer Singh was confirmed to carry the baton forward as the next Don, replacing superstar Shah Rukh Khan who reportedly denied taking on the role due to some reasons. ## The casting of Ranveer Singh came as a surprise to many but the makers seemed confident about it. Now, according to the report by Filmfare, Farhan Akhtar has locked actor Vikrant Massey to play the antagonist role, which was unexpected. ## The report didn't reveal much about the casting except that Massey would be playing the role of a villain against Don who is himself an anti-hero. Interestingly, not long ago, Massey had announced on social media that he was taking a break from his acting career which was assumed as retirement by many.## There hasn't been any official word on the casting of Vikrant or any other aspect of the movie since its official announcement. Mumbai, December 2 - One of the most talented Bollywood actors, Vikrant Massey left his fans stunned on Monday with the announcement of his retirement from acting, at the age of 37. The actor shared the news on his Instagram account and confirmed that 2025 will be the end of his acting career.## "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor", the actor said.## Confirming the retirement "until time deems right", Vikrant added, "So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Mumbai, January 2 - The word-of-mouth sensation of 2023, 12th Fail, written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has become the top-rated Indian film on IMDb. ## Starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar, the biographical drama was an unexpected box office hit of 2023, grossing approx. 67 crores worldwide, following highly positive word of mouth. 12th Fail Crosses 50 Crores Gross At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, November 22 - Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's biographical drama film 12th Fail has emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office. The film starring Vikrant Massey is continuing with a steady run at the domestic box office. ## At the time of the film's release on October 27, not many people were aware of it but the super positive word of mouth spread like wildfire. It has grossed approximately 49.75 crores at the worldwide box office and as I type this, the movie has crossed the 50 crores mark. ## "12th Fail" was made on a budget of around 20 crores, and crossing 50 crores gross worldwide is a big achievement. Mumbai, November 17 - Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra scored a box office success with 12th Fail amid the noise of the big-budget entertainers. The Vikrant Massey-led real-life inspired drama film has crossed 35 crores net mark in three weeks and still going strong. ## The film was released on October 27 amid very low expectations to do wonders at the box office. It, however, managed to take a decent opening of 1.10 crores net and since then, it continued with good momentum after receiving a super positive reception from audiences.## "12th Fail" scored 13 crores net in the first week before commencing the second week on a strong note. It eventually had a bigger second week than the first one with a net collection of 14.11 crores. For the Hindi remake, Vikrant Massey was roped in to step into the shoes of Tovino Thomas. ## Now, the makers have cast Radhika Apte to star alongside Vikrant in the film. Radhika will reprise the role of Mamta Mohandas as Senior Superintendent of Police. The movie will be directed by Vishal Furia, known for directing tv series, The Missing Stone among others. ## "There is a particular way to navigate thriller movies and with Forensic, it hits all the right notes. I am looking forward to starting this project and work with a talented costar like Vikrant and our director Vishal who has such a clear and interesting vision for this film", Radhika said in a statement. ## The first look of the suspense crime thriller was revealed on Tuesday. 'Forensic' will also mark the reunion of Vikrant and Furia, who have previously worked together on the web show 'Criminal Justice'. Talking about the upcoming film, Vikrant shared, "I have always believed in the story being the frontrunner for a film and when director Vishal Furia narrated the script to me, I was intrigued as an actor and as a member of the audience". ## It will be produced by Deepak Mukut, Mansi Bagla, and Varun Bagla under their banners of Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Mini Films, and co-produced by Hunar Mukut. Vikrant Massey To Lead The Hindi Remake of Malayalam Crime Thriller, Forensic

Actor Vikrant Massey is all set to lead the Hindi remake of the Malayalam crime thriller film, Forensic. Vikrant will be essaying the role of a meticulous forensic officer in the film. He will be stepping into the shoes of Tovino Thomas in the Hindi remake who played the protagonist in the original film.## Delighted to be a part of the project, Vikrant says according to Bollywood Hungama, "When I saw Forensic, I was immediately hooked onto it. It is an intelligent film that keeps you on tenterhooks. At the same time, it is an out-and-out entertainer. The remake is a part of Mini Flims' Mansi Bagla's acquisition of three super hits South Indian remakes.## "In Hindi Films, we have always seen cop movies but have not seen a movie on a forensic officer who plays a vital role in solving any crime drama. Vikrant is a perfect fit for this role and I'm so glad to have him on board", producer Mansi Bagla said. ## Talking about the original movie, Forensic is co-directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan in their directorial debut. The film stars Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas, Reba Monica John, Renji Panicker, Dhanesh Anand, and Saiju Kurup in the key roles. SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment To Co-Produce A Crime-Thriller Starring Vikrant Massey, Bobby Deol, And Sanya Malhotra

While the fans are waiting for Shah Rukh Khan to announce his next movie as an actor, the superstar has announced that his home production, Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Manish Mundra's Drishyam Films will be producing a crime-thriller movie titled "Love Hostel". ## Set against the pulsating backdrop of rusting North India, Love Hostel - starring Vikrant Massey, Sanya Malhotra, and Bobby Deol in the prominant roles, traces the volatile journey of a spirited young couple, being hunted by a ruthless mercenary. The star crossed lovers take on the entire world and then some more in search of their fairytale ending. ## The movie will be directed by Shanker Raman while Gauri Khan, Manish Mundra, and Gaurav Verma will produce it under their respective banners.
