Hyderabad, October 14 - Powerstar Pawan Kalyan"™s gangster action thriller They Call Him OG is all set for its digital premiere. Directed by Sujeeth, the high-octane entertainer is nearing the end of its theatrical run after emerging as the biggest grosser of Pawan Kalyan's career at the worldwide box office. Produced by DVV Entertainment, They Call Him OG has grossed approximately 290 crore globally so far, and will miss the 300 crore milestone. Despite that, the film has turned out to be a strong box office success, marking Pawan Kalyan's first 200-crore film and his most successful outing in years. According to the latest reports, the movie will begin streaming on Netflix from October 23 in all languages. Having been released in theatres on September 25, the film follows the standard 28-day theatrical window before heading to digital platforms. The South Indian films continue to stick with a 4-week theatrical window despite the criticism from the trade and media, as they believe the short window is not sufficient, as it cuts short the full box office potential of a movie. Mohanlal's 'Empuraan' Total Business Details Revealed

Mumbai, April 19 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan is nearing its box office run but not before creating history for Malayalam cinema. The movie has emerged as the highest-grossing Mollywood film ever. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has grossed 266+ crores at the worldwide box office so far. In India, it has minted around 124 crores gross, while overseas collection is around 142 crores. L2 is the biggest Malayalam grosser at the domestic as well as overseas box office, while it will finish as the second biggest grosser in Kerala, behind 2018. ## Meanwhile, the makers have revealed that the total business of Empuraan is 325 crores, which includes theatrical and non-theatrical business (so far). There have been rumours that the film's OTT and satellite rights were sold for 100 crores, but the latest update from the makers reveals that non-theatrical rights are not more than 60 crores.## The non-theatrical rights of the movie are said to be the second highest ever for a Malayalam film, behind Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha. Box Office: 'Empuraan' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Malayalam Film of All Time Worldwide

Kochi, April 5 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time after beating last year's mega blockbuster Manjummel Boys in just 9 days at the worldwide box office. ## The sequel to the 2019 movie Lucifer, Empuraan has grossed approximately 241.50+ crores worldwide, including 106.50+ crores domestically through the second Friday. It has beaten the lifetime total of Manjummel Boys, which scored 241 crores in 2024. ## Empuraan is currently the third biggest Mollywood grosser in India after 2018 (110.50 crores gross) and Aadujeevitham (167.50 crores), while it is by far the biggest grosser at the overseas box office with 135+ crores, which is nearing double the second best Manjummel Boys (73.40 crores). ## Among the biggest grossers of the year, Empuraan is currently in third place behind Sankranthiki Vasthunam (255+ crores gross) and Chhaava (800+ crores gross) globally. Kochi, March 21 - The box office is breathing fire again, this time in the most uncharted territory (with huge potential) of Indian cinema with superstar Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbuster L2: Empuraan. There can't be a happier moment for the overall Indian film industry than seeing the rise of the Mollywood which has unanimously been applauded as the content factory. ## Over the last few years, Indian cinema has witnessed box office mayhem, mostly in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. All Issues Resolved For 'Empuraan' Release; Pre-Sales Begins

Kochi, March 15 - After weeks of suspense and uncertainty, one of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action thriller Empuraan is set to storm the big screen on March 27, as originally scheduled in multiple languages.## As reported earlier, there was uncertainty over the release date of the film due to the internal tussle between Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions. It was reported that Aashirvad wanted the other studio to exit the film on its terms but Lyca disagreed for the same. ## Now, as per the latest development, Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies has stepped in to solve the issue and it is said that the studio has replaced Lyca as it has paid the required amount to get all the rights from the Tamil production house. ## Meanwhile, the upcoming posters of Empuraan will still reportedly feature Lyca. The official announcement with new changes is expected to be dropped by today evening. Superstar Mohanlal's 'Empuraan' To Be Postponed?

Kochi, March 13 - One of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action drama Empuraan is announced for March 27 release in multiple languages but it might get postponed to the new date due to the internal tussle. ## The release of the film is in only 2 weeks but the makers are yet to drop the trailer or any other promotional content. Over the last few weeks, it has been reported that there has been a dispute between Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas for the distribution and business of the movie and the latest development indicates the same. ## According to Forum Keralam, Aashirvad Cinemas wants Lyca to exit the movie but the latter, despite showing a willingness to part ways, is not ready to do the same on the former's term. It is said that Lyca wants its partner studio to settle its investment of approximately 75 crores, plus an additional 10 crores. ## There have been multiple discussions regarding the matter but things are not moving toward an amicable solution.
