Anil Kapoor Roped In For Ajay Devgn-Fronted 'De De Pyaar De 2'
Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar for the sequel to their hit rom-com De De Pyaar De which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in pivotal roles. The sequel will be directed by Anshul Sharma, replacing Akiv Ali who helmed the first film. ## De De Pyaar De 2 is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films in the making and now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have locked in veteran Anil Kapoor to play a key role. The actor is likely to play the role of Rakul Preet Singh's father in the movie and will have confrontation scenes with Ajay Devgn. ## "Anil was bowled over by the concept of DDPD 2 and it was an instant yes from him. The humour quotient in De De Pyaar De 2 is said to be a level above the prequel, with an interesting dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor. The tussle between Kapoor's character and Ajay Devgn is the standout feature of De De Pyaar De 2. It’s a dynamic that got both excited as they have never shared an on-screen equation like this before", says the report. ## The shoot of DDPD2 is set to commence in June this year as the makers have locked May 1, 2025, release for the same.
