Kochi, November 15 - Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara's long-awaited Malayalam romantic comedy-drama film Gold with director Alphonse Puthren is finally getting ready to release in theaters. ## According to the latest reliable reports, the much-awaited film will be hitting worldwide theaters on December 1 this year. It was initially set for worldwide theatrical release during Onam in September 2022, but due to the delay in post-production, makers postponed the release.## "Gold" marks Alphonse Puthren's return to direction after seven years since "Premam" (2015). On the occasion of his birthday, the Rajini Makkal Mandram on Sunday said the Rajinikanth Foundation would provide training to 100 students from poor and marginalized sections for the civil services in Tamil Nadu. ## Rajini Makkal Mandram convenor V.M. Kochi, June 16, 2021: As the second covid-19 wave is slowing down, most of the states have started opening up and have allowed films and tv shoots to resume. However, the Kerala government is yet to grant permission for shootings in the state. ## Now, filmmaker Alphonse Puthren, who rose to fame with Malayalam romantic drama, Premam (2015), has questioned the government on why film shootings are still not allowed in the state while other film industries have resumed work. ## He took to social media and wrote, "Why is film shooting not allowed? If people who sell milk are allowed to work and people who sell food are allowed to work, why are film people not allowed to work? How do we eat food? How do we buy milk? How do we teach our children? How do we buy a pencil box for our children? How do we earn money?" ## Alphonse clarified that when it comes to film shootings, even close-up shots require a certain distance to be maintained between the actors involved and the technicians.## "Cinema shooting doesn't happen like in cinema theatres. Even if we have to shoot a close-up or a wide shot we have to stand two meters away or more. So what logic are you telling here? Please think and tell me a solution. Thank you.
