Pradeep Ranganathan's LIK Postponed To December 18, Averting Clash With Dude

Chennai, October 16 - Rising Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan was heading to lock horns with himself this Diwali with Dude and Love Insurance Kompany. However, in a major relief, the unwanted clash has been averted after the makers postponed LIK to December 18, 2025. Produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, LIK was announced for Diwali 2025 release along with Ranganathan's Dude (October 21), produced by AGS Entertainment. On Monday (October 6), the makers officially announced that LIK was postponed and it will now be released in December instead. While the actor has avoided the tricky situation for now, LIK won't be a solo outing in December either. It is already announced that James Cameron's highly-awaited Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 19, and it will be a major cinematic event at the Indian box office. Meanwhile, LIK is directed by Vignesh Shivan. The science fiction romantic comedy was initially announced untitled in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan starring and Lyca Productions producing; however, it was shelved due to budget concerns. In 2023, the project was revived with Pradeep, and the official announcement by Seven Screen Studios was made in September that year. The movie, set in 2040, stars Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah and Krithi Shetty in leading roles, while Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj and Sunil Reddy play supporting roles. Stay tuned...

Chiyaan Vikram Provides Basic Plot Details of Much-Awaited 'Cobra'

Hyderabad, August 29 - Versatile Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited film Cobra, which is scheduled to release on August 31 in Tamil and Telugu. The film marks Vikram's return to the big screen after almost three years and he is looking to make it big by going all out with the promotion. ## The "Cobra" team promoted the film in Hyderabad for the Telugu version. During the Hyderabad press meet, Vikram revealed basic plot details and what the story of the film is all about. "Cobra" is going to be one of the longest films of Vikram ever with a runtime of approx. 3 hours but as per the actor, it has enough thrilling moments to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats. ## "Cobra is a psychological thriller with a bit of science fiction, high-octane action, and emotional drama film. My role in the film will have ten variations but the film is not just only about my getups. It has a universally appealing emotional drama which is its biggest USP of it", the "Anniyan" actor said. ## It is not the first Vikram is doing a psychological thriller film. The last film he did in this genre was director Shankar's "Anniyan" (2005), which is considered one of the finest psychological thriller films ever in Indian cinema. The movie won many accolades and went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. The expectations will be the same from "Cobra" as well. ## "Cobra" is directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. The film stars an ensemble cast with Vikram in the title role alongside Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, K. S. Ravikumar, and Roshan Mathew while Anandaraj, Robo Shankar, Miya George, Mirnalini Ravi, and Meenakshi Govindarajan play supporting roles. Legendary A. R. Chiyaan Vikram Takes A Dig At Boycott Movies Trend During 'Cobra' Promotion

Hyderabad, August 28 - Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram is super busy with the promotions of his upcoming action thriller film Cobra, scheduled to release on August 31 in Tamil and Telugu. After the wide promotional tour across Tamil Nadu, the Cobra team promoted the film in Hyderabad today (August 28). ## During the Telugu press meet, Chiyaan Vikram was asked to comment on the ongoing boycott trend of movies, especially Bollywood films on social media. Vikram takes a dig at this boycott trend and answers funnily even though there is no boycott trend running against his movie. ## "I know about the boy. I know about the cot. What is this Boycott? I don't know the word. I know nothing except for Cobra", the actor said. ## The boycott trend has become a headache for Bollywood movies. The trend picked pace when Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha" was released on August 11. Since then, almost every Bollywood film has faced a boycott trend which might have affected the film's overall business. ## Talking about "Cobra", the movie is directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. The film features an ensemble cast with Vikram in the title role along with Srinidhi Shetty, cricketer Irfan Pathan (debut), K. S. Ravikumar, and Roshan Mathew, while Anandaraj, Robo Shankar, Miya George, Mirnalini Ravi and Meenakshi Govindarajan in supporting roles. ## Stay tuned...
