Apart from Akshay Kumar, the movie also features Parineeti Chopra with Rajesh Sharma, Ravi Kishan, Gaurav Prateek, Anant Mahadevan, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in key roles.## The movie is based on a real-life incident that occurred in Raniganj Coalfields, West Bengal, in 1989. 64 miners found themselves trapped in a flooded coal mine, and Jaswant Singh risked his own life to save theirs. Mumbai, November 2 - After winning accolades for Shershaah on Amazon Prime Video, actor Sidharth Malhotra's next, espionage thriller, "Mission Majnu", will have a theatrical release. Based on the true events in the 1970s, the movie will be hitting theaters worldwide on May 13th, 2022. ## Directed by the ad maker Shantanu Bagchi, "Mission Majnu" marks actress Rashmika Mandanna's debut in Bollywood. She has been paired opposite Sidharth in the female lead role. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta will produce the movie under their respective production banners RSVP and Guilty By Association.## Rashmika took to Twitter and announced the release date and also shared a new still featuring Sidharth, who plays a RAW agent.
