Kangana Ranaut To Star In Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to return with the second installment of the hit Manikarnika franchise. ## Titled Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda, the film will revolve around the life of Didda, Kashmir's first woman ruler, sometimes described as the "Cleopatra of Kashmir". Didda ruled Kashmir directly and indirectly for around five decades in the 10th and 11th centuries and defeated Mahmud Ghaznavi twice.## Announcing the movie, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and wrote, "Our India has been witness to the story of many brave hearts like Rani of Jhansi. Shakti Kapoor Cast As Narco Officer In Sushant Singh Rajput's Film Even As Shraddha Kapoor Faces NCB Probe

While Shraddha Kapoor has been investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday in a drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, her father, Shakti Kapoor has been cast as a narcotics officer in a film based on the life of Sushant. ## Kapoor senior essays a narcotics officer in the film "Nyaay: The Justice", which is incidentally backed by Sarla A. Saraogi, whose husband Ashok M. Saraogi represents Sushant's ex-manager Shruti Modi in the ongoing investigations. ## Informing about the same, the film's lead actor Zuber K. Khan told IANS, "Aman Verma is playing an ED officer, Shakti Kapoor sir is playing narcotics officer and Sudha Chandran Ji is playing a CBI officer in the film".## Zuber plays a character called Mahendra Singh, or Mahi, inspired by Sushant Singh Rajput, while Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty's character is being played by actress Shreya Shukla as Urvashi in the movie. ## Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Somi Khan will play Sushant's ex-manager Disha Salian, who passed away on June 8, six days before the actor's death on June 14.## The shooting has been started with more characters are being included. The casting has also been almost completed which includes the characters like Ankita Lokhande, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, his family, ex-manager Disha Salian and many more. ## The drug angle which is currently being probed by the NCB will also be seen in the film even though that angle is not being emphasized. 'Would Anyone Who Loved Someone Deeply Give Him Drugs?' Ankita Lokhande to Rhea Chakraborty

The former girlfriend of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Ankita Lokhande has lashed out at actress Rhea Chakraborty by saying would anyone, who claims to have loved someone so deeply, allow the other person to consume drugs claiming to know his mental state and condition?## Ankita took to Instagram and posted a long note in a bid to reply to all the haters. Ankita Lokhande's society sealed after neighbor tests COVID-19 positive

Mumbai, April 5 (IANS) A residential building in the city's Malad area, where several celebrities including actress Ankita Lokhande stays, has been entirely sealed off after a man in the complex tested positive for COVID-19.## The person in question had returned from Spain last month, according to a report in timesofindia.com.## The apartment society has five wings and is also home to the television couples Natasha Sharma and Aditya Redij, and Ashita Dhawan and Shailesh Gulabani, besides actor Mishkat Verma.## The website reports a resident of the society as saying on grounds of anonymity: "A man who stays in the D-wing returned from Spain earlier this month. He tested negative at the airport and was advised self-quarantine for 15 days. However, on the 12th day he developed symptoms of coronavirus, and was taken to the hospital along with his wife. While he tested positive, his wife's test results are negative. Every person who could have possibly come in contact with the couple was also tested. Fortunately, all those test results are negative. Besides gripping story and powerful performances, the film is still remembered for its songs.## * WOH LAMHE (2006) -## Kangana essayed the role of a troubled glamorous actress who battles fame, pride, and schizophrenia. It explores the life of the actress as she meets a director, played by Shiney Ahuja, and falls in love. The film takes the audience on a journey about how the two bond with each other in difficult times. The movie is said to be based on sensational yesteryear star Parveen Babi and her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt, who has written the film.## * TANU WEDS MANU (2011) -## The comic drama turned the notion that marriages are made in heaven, on its head. The film narrates a love story of two completely opposite people -- Tanu and Manu. The 2011 romantic drama is directed by Aanand L. Rai and also stars R. Madhavan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Deepak Dobriyal, and Swara Bhaskar.## * QUEEN (2014) -## The film tells the story of Rani who, after being dumped by her fiance two days before their wedding, packed her bags and traveled to Europe for the pre-booked honeymoon alone. Shaken, she explores her identity and self-confidence as she explored the foreign land and met new people. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie was a runaway hit and made Kangana A-list star.## * MANIKARNINKA: THE QUEEN OF JHANSI (2019) -## With "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi", Kangana brought the story of Rani Laxmibai alive on the silver screen. Directed by Kangana and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, the film also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa and Ankita Lokhande.## * PANGA (2020) -## One can also watch Kangana's "Panga" in this difficult time due to the global outbreak of coronavirus. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, "Panga" also features Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha, and Jassie Gill. The film, released on January 24, revolves around a kabaddi player, played by Kangana, who wants to make a comeback in the game after marriage and motherhood.## * LIFE IN A... METRO (2007) -## Set in Mumbai, the film narrates stories of the lives of nine people and how their lives change when their fates intertwine. It explores the complexities of emotions and other dilemmas. The film also stars Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sharman Joshi, Shiny Ahuja, and Dharmendra.## * TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS (2015) -## A sequel of "Tanu Weds Manu", the 2015 film starts after four years of Tanu's (Kangana) and Manu's (R. Madhavan) marriage. They have parted ways but still retain feelings for each other. The film also introduced Kangana's double role Datto, an ambitious Haryanvi girl. Manu falls in love with Datto. The film is about finding love and the spark in the relationship again.## * FASHION (2008) -## The movie is about an ambitious small-town girl Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra) who wants to make it big in the fashion industry as a supermodel. Kangana had a supporting act of a supermodel, who sees a decline in her career and resorts to drugs.## * JUDGEMENTALL HAI KYA (2019) -## "Judgementall Hai Kya" reunites "Queen" co-stars Kangana and Rajkummar Rao after a gap of around five years for a killer thriller drama. The dark comedy revolves around Bobby (Kangana) and Keshav (Rajkummar) as they lead their life trying to figure out the difference between reality and illusions. Tiger Shroff's 'Baaghi 3' sees a jump on Holi

Mumbai, March 11 (IANS) The festival of Holi worked wonders for the producers of 'Baaghi 3' as the film saw a jump in numbers on the day of the festival, which was the fifth day after release.## The collections of the film on Tuesday stood at Rs 14.05 cr, which is a significant jump from the film's collection on Monday.## Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: 'Baaghi 3' jumps on Day 5, #Holi festivities give it a big push... Biz multiplies across circuits, despite several screens starting shows post 3 pm... Mass circuits are fantastic... Fri Rs 17.50 cr, Sat Rs 16.03 cr, Sun Rs 20.30 cr, Mon Rs 9.06 cr, Tue Rs 14.05 cr. Total: Rs 76.94 cr. #India biz."## It remains to be seen if the film continues with the growth in numbers, or starts to record a slump Wednesday onward.## Directed by Ahmed Khan, "Baaghi 3" released in India on March 6. The action drama sees Tiger Shroff returning as Ronnie. In the third film, he goes to Syria and singlehandedly takes on an entire army to rescue his brother, played by Riteish Deshmukh.
