Disney Recommends Five MCU Projects To Watch Before 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'

Los Angeles, February 11 - Marvel Studios/Disney's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" is getting ready to kick-start the proceedings of Phase 5 of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The superhero movie stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang AKA Ant-Man along with Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer all returning for the franchise's third installment as well. ## Scheduled to release on February 17, "Ant-Man 3" is getting more excitement than ever because of Jonathan Majors who is making his cinematic debut in the MCU as Kang the Conqueror, the next big villain after Thanos in the MCU. ## Meanwhile, Disney has officially recommended four Marvel Studios flicks to watch before seeing "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" in order to fully understand the film. These projects are from Phase 2-4. The official website of D23 recommends these MCU projects before "Ant-Man 3". ## Ant-Man (2015) - It was the first time when the beloved comic book superhero character was introduced in the MCU. Set after the events of "Avengers: Age of Ultron", "Ant-Man" shows Scott Lang (Rudd) learns to embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Hank, protect the tech behind the Ant-Man suit that gives its wearer the ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength. ## Captain America: Civil War (2016) - After an impressive debut, Scott Lang joined Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Civil War for the first time, which could also be termed "Avengers 2.5". Scott Lang plays a considerable role as a member of Team Captain America which favors autonomy, against team Iron Man which supports government oversight. Although Ant-Man sides with Captain America, his involvement puts him at risk of being incarcerated once again.## Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018) - The second film in the Ant-Man franchise where Lang struggles to balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man. It followed "Avengers: Infinity War" which was released two months prior to it. ## Avengers: Endgame (2019) - One of the biggest movies of all time and things that turned up in the movie wouldn't have been possible without Ant-Man who was stuck in the Quantum realm for five years after Thanos' snap vanished half of the world. Ant-Man showed the path to bring everyone back when he came out of Quantum realm. ## Loki (Season 1) (2021) - It didn't feature Ant-Man, but introduced Jonathan Majors' Kang. Ahead of that, the movie had its world premiere on February 6 at the Regency Westwood Theatre, in Los Angeles. ## While the official review embargo for "Ant-Man 3" breaks on Tuesday, February 14, the early reactions for the world premiere have already started coming on social media. The initial reactions to a Marvel movie have always been mostly positive and things aren't different this time as well, though it suggests there is a different kind of wildness to look out for in the movie. ## Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard, "Ant-Man 3" is the 31st film in the MCU. Marvel Studios 'Black Panther 2' And 'Ant-Man 3' Get Release Date In China

Beijing, January 17 - After more than 3 years, Marvel Studios secure its first release in China as it confirmed release dates of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. ## Director Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther 2", which was released last year globally, will be hitting Chinese theaters on February 17, followed by "Ant-Man 3" on February 17, 2023, day and date with North America release.## Due to the de facto ban on Marvel Movies, the studio was not able to get its movie released in Mainland China, costing Marvel/Disney hundreds of millions in potential ticket revenue. The last approved theatrical releases from the studio were "Spider-Man: Far From Home" and "Avengers: Endgame", way back in early/mid-2019. ## The news about the China release dates of the aforementioned films was shared by Marvel on Tuesday over its official Chinese social media accounts, as per The Hollywood Reporter. After pushing to 2023, "The Marvels" is now swapping the release with "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" in 2023, confirmed by Disney. ## "The Marvels", the sequel to 2019's "Captain Marvel", was originally due to open in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023, after getting pushed from November 2022, and "Ant-Man 3", was set to open on July 28, 2023. Marvel Studios To Release Record Five Films Including Ant-Man And Guardians of The Galaxy Sequels In 2023

On Friday (September 10), Marvel Studios has scheduled release dates of its upcoming movie through 2024. The studio behind Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man movies, has been releasing three films per year since 2017, which is going to be a record 4 films in 2021. ## Marvel has already released "Black Widow" and "Shang-Chi" through Disney so far in 2021, and the number will increase to four with Eternals (out November 5) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (out December 17). After the latest release schedule of Marvel movies, it looks like 4 Marvel movies in a year going to be a normal routine. ## The Kevin Feige-headed studio will release four more films in 2022 if there is no covid-19 issue.
