Shocking Budget of Superstar Mohanlal's Directorial 'Barroz'?

Kochi, December 25 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal made his directorial debut with the fantasy entertainer Barroz which was released on December 25. The movie, which stars Mohanlal in the lead role, however, has bombed at the box office with a lifetime collection heading to finish under 25 crores gross. ## The recent few films of Mohanlal haven't performed well at the box office, however, the shock that Barroz has given seems to be bigger than all. It is believed to be the costliest Mollywood film ever with over 150 crores. ## In a viral video on X, Barroz's marketing head Dr. Sharon Thomas has reportedly claimed that Barroz has been made on a budget of over 150 crores. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas which is the regular collaborator of Mohanlal's films. ## In the video, Sharon Thomas can be heard saying that Mohanlal's vision for the movie was to give something back to Indian cinema which has given him so much over the years. Kochi, March 11 - Superstar Mohanlal's hugely-awaited action thriller film L2: Empuraan, the second instalment of the mega-blockbuster Lucifer, is currently in the production stage. Kochi, August 18 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is returning for the second part of his blockbuster film Lucifer. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who marked his directorial debut with this film, will be directing the sequel as well apart from starring in it. ## The makers of the film, on Wednesday officially announced that they had begun work on "Lucifer 2", which has been titled Empuraan. Mohanlal's epic 'Marakkar' to premiere on OTT on Dec 17
