Mumbai, August 29 - Director Anurag Basu's Metro... In Dino had a decent outing at the box office, amid the low buzz and anticipation. Released in July first week, the big ensemble urban romantic drama has wrapped up its theatrical journey and moved to digital after 8 weeks of theatrical run. Featuring a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta, Metro In Dino was reportedly made on a budget of around 50 crores, and grossed approximately 70 crores worldwide, including around 64 crores in India. After completing its box office journey, the spiritual sequel to Basu's acclaimed 2007 anthology film Life in a... Metro has started streaming on Netflix on August 29. As per unofficial reports, the film was sold to Netflix for 40 crores, as a result of the box office outcome. The film is expected to score good viewership on Netflix as it received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its ensemble performances, thematic depth, and Pritam's music. The movie, however, has its limitations due to its urban theme, which doesn't resonate with the masses. Metro... In Dino may not have shattered box office records, but it emerged as a critically appreciated and commercially decent venture. The actor, who has made a mark with romantic comedy dramas, will venture into the fantasy zone and action thriller genre for the first time with a few of his upcoming films. The Luka Chuppi star is currently shooting for director Anurag Basu's untitled love story, which is expected to release in December this year. He also has director Sameer Vidhwans's romantic comedy Tu Mera Main Tera Main Tera Tu Mera, which debuts in cinemas in February 2026. After these romance-filled blockbusters, Kartik will be stepping into the fantasy world for the first time with Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Naagzilla, in which he will play the role of a Snake-Man, and he will be fighting the snakes in the movie. The film's shoot begins once he is done with his two romantic films. Recently, it was revealed that the actor would team with the Chak De India director Shimit Amin for Captain India. Interestingly, a film with the same title was announced in 2021 with director Hansal Mehta and Kartik, but it didn't materialise back then. It is said to be the same script, written by written and produced by Harman Baweja. Kartik will play the role of an Air Force pilot in Captain India, which is based on true events. It will go on the floors in the first half of 2026 and will be shot in India and Morocco. The team reportedly has already completed the recce in Morocco. It will start after Naagzilla, which hits the big screen on August 14, 2026. Mumbai, May 29 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and director Anurag Basu have teamed up for the first time for an untitled musical love story film. The film, which was originally supposed to be titled Aashiqui 3, features Sreeleela as the female lead, also marking her Bollywood debut. ## The film was announced earlier this year with a Diwali 2025 release date. However, according to the latest report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the love story is set to be delayed to a new date, possibly to 2026. ## It is said that Anurag Basu has completed 40% of the total shoot of the film after it went on floors in March this year. Kartik, meanwhile, recently started filming for Dharma Productions' "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri," while Basu is also busy in the post-production of his next, "Metro...
