Salman Khan's Radhe Fails To Impress Audience Despite The Unprecedented Response On OTT

Mumbai, May 14, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" released amid a huge buzz. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the movie opted for a hybrid release simultaneously in theaters and on multiple digital platforms via pay-per-view on May 13 in India. Overseas, it still released in theaters.## As expected, a record number of people watched Radhe on ZeePlex and Zee5. The response was Unprecedented that the server of ZeePlex was crashed multiple times due to the heavy traffic, which was fixed later. However, despite the positive response, the big mass entertainer fails to impress the viewers, who declared it among the worst movies of Salman Khan. ## Radhe has become the lowest-rated movie on IMDb for Salman Khan. The IMDb rating of Radhe is 1.7 with over 110K users rated the movie till Monday (May 17). Earlier, Saawan... The Love Season (2006) was the lowest-rated movie for the actor with an IMDb rating of 1.9. Meanwhile, the South Korean movie, "The Outlaws", which has inspired Radhe, has a good IMDb rating of 7.2 from nearly 5K votes. ## Among the all-time lowest-rated Bollywood movies, on IMDb, Radhe stands with movies like Khaali Peeli (2020), Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007), Boom (I) (2003), and others. Salman Khan Apologizes To Cinema Owners; Wishes To Release Radhe In Theaters When Lockdown Ends

Mumbai, May 11, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has apologized to theater owners who were hoping actor's upcoming film, "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" to release in theaters and help them recover their losses due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Prabhudheva, the movie will start streaming on multiple platforms, including OTT and DTH services, on May 13 at the festival of Eid. It will also release in theaters whenever they are open in India, though most of the states have shut the cinemas due to the second covid-19 wave. ## "I apologize to cinema owners who were hoping to earn profits with the release of this film. We waited as long as we could, hoping that this pandemic would end and we would be able to release in theatres all over the country. But that did not happen. We don't know when things will go back to normal", Salman Khan told reporters in a roundtable interview from Mumbai. ## "I couldn't have kept my Eid commitment with fans without the support of ZEE. It was important to release the film at a time like this because people are suffering due to the pandemic. Incomes have reduced for many, so now, instead of spending a lot of money on tickets at the cinemas, people can watch it at a much cheaper rate at home. I want to provide some entertainment to people at a grim time like this", Salman said. ## However, the actor again expressed his desire to release the film in theaters when things subside and it is 'safe' for people to visit cinema halls. ## "I know people are disappointed that they will not be able to watch Radhe on the big screen. Some people have booked auditoriums and are planning to screen my film, which I won't encourage because I don't want people to say 'Salman Khan ki picture dekhne gaye aur corona phail gaya'. Once everything is safe, we will release the film again in the theatres. We hope the film does well then too", the actor said.## Radhe is said to have a remake of the 2017 Korean film The Outlaws. 'It Was Much More Difficult Than I Imagined It To Be', Arjun Kanungo On Acting In Salman Khan's 'Radhe'

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" is all set to release on May 13 this year. After being delayed for almost a year, the actioner finally is debuting in theaters on the occasion of Eid. In between the proven stars, Radhe marks the acting debut for Arjun Kanungo, who, after proving his worth as a singer-songwriter, is all excited to prove his mettle as an actor in the biggie upfront. ## "The film is done I am still nervous. It was much more difficult than I imagined it to be, and I remember I was very nervous on the first day. Even thinking about it makes me nervous right now. But I have to say Salman (Khan) sir and (director) Prabhudeva sir were very encouraging. They helped me a lot. Everyone has been complimenting me, but I am nervous", Arjun told IANS as quoted by India TV.## Kanungo has had a successful career as a singer-songwriter and after the initial jitters, the 30-year old has produced blockbuster songs. Now, the young star is looking forward to starting his next journey as an actor and said that he is keen to see the audience's reaction to his acting. ## "There's this whole pre-conceived notion that singers don't make good actors. I am nervous to see how the audience will react and if they will support my acting career. I want to see if the audience will get over that bias", he told IANS.## It's not like Kanungo decided to pursue acting after becoming a popular singer-songwriter. He said that acting has always been on the cards, for that, he even joined a year-long acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, roughly seven years back, after finding to difficult to make a career in music.## However, when he came back to India in 2014, some of his cover songs had done really well on Youtube and that led Sony Music to approach him and signed him as an artist. Seeing a huge opportunity to work with such a big music label, Arjun jumped on to it which shaped his career. ## Then in 2019, he got a call that might change his life.## "It was Salman sir who called me and wanted me to act. He called me to his house in the middle of the night, and I remember Prabhu sir was there. It was just an incredible feeling to be there and work on a project like this with such big names attached to it", he says.## "I am excited to see it on a big screen and really excited to know how the audience reacts.
