Mumbai, September 15 - One of the leading Bollywood production houses, Yash Raj Films has had a super successful 2023 year, be it at the box office or the streamer. The studio is now gearing up for its next phase of theatrical tentpole as well as streaming titles.## It is known to everyone that YRF is working on a four-part thriller web series, titled "The Railway Men". It is about a tribute to the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, during which, a cloud of toxic gas escaped from an American pesticide plant, in 1984, in the central Indian city of Bhopal. It killed and injured thousands of people. ## YRF has now partnered with the leading streaming platform Netflix to bring the series to the screens. The studio has joined hands with the OTT giant to set up a multi-year creative partnership. "The Railway Men", starring R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma, and emerging talent Babil Khan, is the first production from YRF Entertainment, the studio's streaming production arm.## Apart from "The Railway Men", YRF has also partnered with Netflix for its feature film "Maharaj", starring Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, and also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh, and Shalini Pandey. "Maharaj" will be the first direct-to-digital feature film of Aditya Chopra-headed YRF.## Set in the 1800s, the film "Maharaj" is a David vs. Goliath story about how a regular man, a journalist by profession, takes on a powerful role model of society, hailed by many as a messiah for the masses. Mumbai, March 1 - Actor Vicky Kaushal, who recently completed the shoot of Laxman Utekar's yet-untitled film with Sara Ali Khan, has reportedly commenced filming for his next romantic-comedy film today (March 1) in Mumbai under the production of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. ## As per reports, the Bandish Bandits creator, Anand Tiwari is directing this yet-untitled project. "Laila Majnu" (2018) actress Tripti Dimri is playing the female lead while Punjabi singer-actor Ammy Virk also essays a prominent role. ## It is said that Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri will be shooting in Mumbai for nearly a month before the next schedule begins in Delhi. It is touted to be a unique subject with a message for the audience. This is the first time when the trio of Vicky, Tripti, and Ammy come together in a film. ## Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in "Sardar Udham", has plenty of films under the pipeline. He will next be seen in "Govinda Naam Mera", co-starring Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani. Apart from this, he also has Laxman Utekar's film and the biopic of "Sam Bahadur". ## Tripti, on the other hand, has Anvita Dutt's Qala with Babil Khan. She was last seen in Netflix's "Bulbbul" in 2020. Ammy Virk also has a couple of Punjabi movies lined up. YRF Announces First Web Show 'The Railway Men' On Bhopal Gas Tragedy

Mumbai, December 2 - India's leading film production company, Yash Raj Films is making its smashing debut in the digital world, announcing the studios' first web series, "The Railway Men". A tribute to the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, the show marks YRF's streaming content production's first out of five shows into the booming digital content (over-the-top or OTT) landscape of India. ## The show will tell the story of workers at the Bhopal railway station who saved thousands of lives during one of the world's worst industrial disasters when a cloud of toxic gas escaped from an American pesticide plant, in 1984, in the central Indian city of Bhopal. The series will be streaming from December 2, 2022.## "The Railway Men" heads the cast including R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma, and late Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan. It marks the directorial debut of Shiv Rawail, who has had previous stints as assistant director on Yash Raj Films productions "Dhoom 3", starring Aamir Khan, and "Fan", starring Shah Rukh Khan. ## Akshaye Widhani, senior VP at Yash Raj Films said, "The Bhopal Gas Tragedy is the world's worst industrial disaster that has impacted scores of people since the tragedy struck the city 37 years ago. Based on Dominique Lapierre and Javier Moro's 1997 book, "Five Past Midnight in Bhopal: The Epic Story of the World's Deadliest Industrial Disaster", the series is written and directed by Richie Mehta, who created and directed the International Emmy-winning Netflix series "Delhi Crime".## Stay tuned...
