After Box Office, Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Hindi Version Also Emerges Big Success On Digital Platform

Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Since its digital release on February 16 this year, the Hindi version of the film has continuously been trending in the top 10 in India. ## It has been continuous more than 300 days for the movie in the top 10 on Hotstar, making it the first film ever to do so. While the viewership numbers are not provided, Salaar is easily the most-watched Indian title on Hotstar and this is building up the excitement for its sequel which is due to hit big screens in 2026. ## Salaar is produced by Hombale Films which will bankroll three more films, including Salaar 2, of Prabhas in the next few years. The success of Salaar's Hindi version, both at the box office and on streaming, gives the studio a chance to plan bigger things for the sequel just like KGF: Chapter 2, and the makers have promised the same. ## The film stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Sriya Reddy in key roles. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still exists, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the current prince of Khansaar. Box Office: Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' North America Premiere Advance Sales Details

Los Angeles, July 11 - Kamal Haasan's vigilante action film Indian 2 is set for a good start at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. The pre-sales of the movie have been picking up with just a day to go before the release which is July 12. ## Apart from the domestic pre-sales, Shankar's directorial movie has managed to generate good advance sales for the North American premiere. According to Venky Box Office, the NA premiere pre-sales of Indian 2 is $650K (5.45 crores), including $580K (4.85 crores) in the USA alone after the big jump yesterday.## In the USA, Indian 2 has sold approximately 28K tickets from over 1450 shows at 484 locations for the premiere which is on tomorrow. Director Shankar Reveals Reason Behind Splitting Indian 2 In Two Parts

Chennai, June 26 - Legendary Kamal Haasan returns as Senapathy to fight corruption in the country in the sequel to his 1996 film, Indian. Directed by S. Shankar, the first of the two-part Indian 2 is set to hit screens on July 12 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. ## Originally, Indian 2 was planned as a single movie but the makers have now split it into two parts. At the trailer launch event on June 25, director Shankar and Kamal Haasan talked about the reasons behind splitting the movie into two parts. ## While Kamal Haasan revealed that bringing the film in 2 parts was purely director Shankar's decision as he was the right man to judge his script, the director said that the decision was taken due to the demand of the script which is lengthy and goes from regional to pan India. ## Shankar explained that the story of the film, which is based on corruption, revolves around just 1 state in Indian 2 but as the story spreads all over the country, it became important to tell this in another part, which is Indian 3. The first part is over 3 hours long. ## "Our initial idea was to do only one part. After I started filming and when I sat in the editing room, all the scenes from my point of view came out very well. If, for the sake of it, you have to make it in one part, if I compressed the whole thing, the soul of every scene, the feel of every scene would have been lost". Shankar clarified (via Times of India).## Kamal Haasan, meanwhile, appreciated the hard work put in by director Shankar and Lyca Productions to stay with the film despite many hurdles. In case you don't know, Indian 2 has been in the making since 2019, but the production was halted due to an accident in 2020 while filming that killed some crew members before the COVID-19 pandemic put a further dent. Hyderabad, March 4 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire was a big success, grossing over 600 crores at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, January 22 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is having a fantastic response on Netflix. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, debuted on the platform on January 20, after 28 days of its theatrical run. ## The movie was a box office success, grossing over 600 crores at the worldwide box office in all versions. On Netflix, Salaar premiered in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages, and the response so far is said to be fantastic. ## Netflix announced on social media that Salaar is trending at number 1 on its platform in India. Produced by Hombale Films, the movie stars Prabhas in the title role and Prithviraj Sukumaran, with a supporting cast that includes Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju. ## Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansaar. When a coup d'état is planned by his father's ministers and his relatives, Varadha enlists Deva's help to become Khansaar's undisputed ruler.## Stay tuned...
