Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Reacts On Scarlett Johansson-Led Black Widow

Los Angeles, July 10, 2021: After getting delayed for more than one year, Marvel Studios' female-led superhero movie, Black Widow, finally playing in theaters on July 9. The 24th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was also released simultaneously on Disney+ Premier Access with $30 additional fees required in the US. ## As expected, Black Widow opened with highly positive reviews from critics and audiences. Currently, the movie is "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with an 80% critics score and 93% audience score. Critics have called it one of the finest solo superhero films from Marvel Studios. ## Not only the critics and audiences, the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" star Tom Holland too enjoyed watching this much-awaited film from Marvel. The actor took to Instagram stories and wrote, "Been waiting ages for this film and it was worth the wait. This film is awesome!!! So exciting and so funny". ## Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), the film sees Natasha Romanoff on the run and forced to confront a conspiracy tied to her past. Black Widow is also going to be Scarlett Johansson's one last appearance as Natasha in the MCU movies. In Avengers: End Game, Natasha had already died to get the infinity stone. ## "In some weird, messed up, backwards way, if any person could be truly altruistic and totally weird, because nobody is obviously, but actually the act that she... Her sacrifice was a truly altruistic offering," Johansson said of Natasha's decision to earn the Soul Stone for the Avengers and spare Clint Barton's life while talking to ComicBook.com on the movie's set. ## "I think she really sacrifices herself, in a way, no just really out of love, for love, she saves her friend. She saves everyone, but she saves her friend. And I think that just being in that kind of headspace and being able to make that decision, that selfless decision, that selfless act, is so incredibly powerful. It's amazing that she could be in that headspace to do that", she added. ## Black Widow, directed by Cate Shortland, also stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, O. Box Office: Marvel Studios 'Black Widow' Is Projected To Score Higher Than Universal Pictures 'F9' In The Domestic Opening Weekend

Log Angeles, June 20, 2021: The early box office predictions suggesting that Marvel Studios' Black Widow will outscore Universal Pictures' Fast & Furious 9, in the opening domestic weekend. Both movies are due to release on July 9 and June 25 respectively in the US. ## Black Widow and F9 were originally slated for 2020 release but the covid-19 pandemic delayed the releases by a whole year. And now, as theaters begin opening and the box-office starts to back on track with hits like A Quiet Place 2 and Godzilla vs. Kong - Black Widow, and F9 are set to be the biggest hits of the pandemic era. ## The fact that Scarlett Johanson fronted, Black Widow is a two-way release in theaters and on Disney Plus Premier Access for $30 simultaneously as compared to F9, which is an outright theatrical release. Still, Black Widow is expected to win the box office war against the high octane actioner, F9. ## According to Boxoffice Pro, Black Widow is expected to score between $65 million to $90 million in compared to F9's $50-$70 million in the opening weekend. Going by the predictions, Black Widow is set to become the top-grossing opening domestic weekend since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Despite the covid-19 effect, Black Widow's opening weekend projection is already ahead of previous MCU movies such as - The Incredible Hulk ($55 million) and Ant-Man ($57 million). Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow' To Release Simultaneously In Theaters And Disney Plus On July 9

Marvel Studios has announced the new release date of its upcoming scheduled movies. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, the long-awaited solo film based on Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superhero Natasha Romanoff, has been pushed back by two months along with other Marvel movies. ## The release of Black Widow has been pushed to July 9 from May 7. Above all, the movie will get a simultaneous release in the theatres and on streaming service Disney Plus. Marvel unveils Phase IV roster

New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) Its going to be a marvelous time for Marvel fans. The new phase starts with Scarlett Johansson coming back on the big screen as deadly spy Natasha Romanoff in 'Black Widow' this April.## After a blockbuster end to the last phase in 2019 with "Avengers: Endgame", Marvel will be starting off its most anticipated phase four by redefining the superhero universe with women's power in focus.## On Thursday, the studio released a poster announcing the dates of release in India for its upcoming films.## Johansson's "Black Widow" will release on April 30. The film is set after the events of "Captain America: Civil War" but before the events of "Avengers: Infinity War". The film will trace the story of Romanoff, who will confront her past.## Directed by Cate Shortland, "Black Widow" will also feature Taskmaster, a popular character from the Marvel Comics. It will be his first live-action film appearance. It is not known who will portray the villain. The film also stars Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz.## Then there will a Bollywood touch to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with big-budget superhero saga "The Eternals". The film is slated to release on November 6.## Directed by Chloe Zhao, the film stars Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, and Kumail Nanjiani.## It is about the super-powered beings, The Celestials, and their villainous adversaries, The Deviants, in a war set millions of years ago. Nanjiani says his character in "The Eternals" will have the secret identity of a Bollywood star.## Marvel's first Asian-led superhero film, "Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings" will release on February 21, 2021.## Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, it stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, alongside Tony Leung and Awkwafina.## Actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be returning as the Sorcerer Supreme with "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", which will open on May 7, 2021. The film also stars Elizabeth Oslen and Benedict Wong. It is believed that Sam Raimi, who directed the 2000s "Spider-Man" trilogy starring Tobey Maguire, is in talks to direct the "Doctor Strange" sequel.## The God of Thunder will be back for a new adventure, too. "Thor: Love And Thunder", the fourth film in the "Thor" franchise, will release on November 5, 2021. Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor.## Natalie Portman will be returning to the franchise for the first time since 2013's "Thor: The Dark World". At the San Diego Comic-Con last year, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said that Portman's Jane Foster will take up Thor's hammer Mjolnir in "Love And Thunder", and take up the persona of the Mighty Thor.
