Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood Film 'Love Again' Scored A Low Opening Weekend

Los Angeles, May 9 - India's international star Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood movie Love Again failed to make an impact at the box office in its opening weekend. ## Directed by James C. Strouse, the romantic comedy-drama film flopped after taking just a $2.38 million start in its 3-day domestic (North America) opening weekend from 2,703 theaters. The movie doesn't seem to be having a long life at the box office after poor critics and audience scores. ## The remake of the 2016 German film "SMS für Dich", "Love Again" earned a poor "B" CinemaScore and holds 19% on Rotten Tomatoes from 21 critics though the audience score on RT is on the higher side at 93% from 100+ users.## "Love Again" was projected to score $5 million - $10 million in its opening weekend but it failed to top even the lower point of projections. Luckily for Sony Pictures, the movie only cost $9 million to produce. It also stars Sam Heughan and Nick Jonas, among others in key roles. ## The movie is about a lady, Mira Ray (Priyanka), who is struggling to cope with the death of her fiancé. She unintentionally sends a sequence of romantic messages to his old cell phone number, which has been reassigned to Rob Burns' new work phone. As a journalist, Rob is drawn to the candidness in Mira's beautifully written texts. Box Office Projection For Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan's 'Love Again' Revealed

Los Angeles, April 17 - India's international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is busy with the promotion for her two upcoming big projects, a romantic romantic-comedy drama Love Again, co-starring Sam Heughan and Amazon Prime Video's web series Citadel. ## While "Citadel" premiers on April 28 on Prime Video, the actress will return to the big screen with "Love Again" which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5. It is an English-language remake of the 2016 German film "SMS für Dich", itself based on a novel by Sofie Cramer. ## Directed by James C. Strouse, "Love Again" is projected to take a decent to a good start at the domestic (North American) box office. According to Box Office Pro, the movie is looking to take the $5 million - $10 million in its opening weekend with a lifetime in the range of $12 million - $32 million, depending on response.## "Love Again" is made on an estimated budget of $20 million - $30 million. New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) Singer Lisa Mishra described joining global superstar Lady Gaga's COVID-19 relief concert "One World: Together at Home" as an "absolutely beautiful" experience and says that it has made her realize the importance of music in global healing.## Over 70 artists and celebrities from across the world joined Gaga's concert to honor the frontline workers earlier this month. The virtual concert, organized by the WHO and Global Citizen, included performances and appearances from stars such as Lisa, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Paul McCartney.## "I think it was absolutely beautiful. Mumbai, April 19 (IANS) Indian superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas joined Lady Gaga's star-studded "One World: Together at Home" to celebrate healthcare workers fighting against the coronavirus pandemic and urged everyone to stay strong during the health crisis.## Over 70 artists and celebrities from across the world joined the concert to honor the frontline workers. Los Angeles, April 10 (IANS) Singer Celine Dion revisited her iconic song "My heart will go on", and tweaked it to encourage people to practice social distancing amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.## Dion posted a re-do of the lyrics of her 1997 hit on her Instagram feed on Thursday, reports dailymail.co.uk.## The 52-year-old French Canadian diva posted a brief video snippet of her music video from the hit, which was the love theme for the Oscar-winning film "Titanic", next to which she wrote the altered lyrics in both English and French.## "Near, far wherever you are... make sure you're practicing social distancing," the singer wrote, before repeating the same sentiment in French.## She signed off in the caption with "Team Céline" and included the hashtags #ThursdayWisdom #restezchezvous #StayAtHome and #throwbackThursday.## Dion's post comes as many celebrities remind fans and followers via their social media channels about the importance of staying home during the spreading pandemic.## Earlier in an episode of "Watch What Happens Live", she revealed that initially, she didn't even want to do "My heart will go on".## "There was one song that I didn't want to record, and I'm glad they didn't listen to me," Dion said in response to a question from a fan on the show.## It was her late husband Rene Angelil, who was her manager at the time, who convinced her otherwise.## "It didn't appeal to me. I was probably very tired that day -- very tired," Dion confessed, adding: "My husband said, "˜Let's hold on'.
