Box Office: 'Thandel' and 'Badass Ravikumar' Opening Day Early Estimates

Hyderabad, February 7 - Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's romantic action thriller Thandel has taken a fantastic start at the domestic box office, justifying the pre-release hype for the movie, directed by Chandoo Mondeti. ## The film is looking to score the career-best opening for Naga Chaitanya as early estimates suggest the collection to be in the range of 11-12 crores gross. The previous biggest grosser for the actor was Love Story which minted around 10.50 crores gross on its first day. ## The initial word of mouth for Thandel looks on the positive side and the pre-sales for the remaining weekend are good. It is looking to score 30+ crores gross collection in its opening weekend which will be a good collection.## There was Himesh Reshmiya's comedy action drama which opened to better-than-expected numbers as early estimates suggest 2.50-3 crores net opening day. Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' Post-Theatrical Digital Rights Sold To Netflix For Record 40 Crore

Hyderabad, April 29 - Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya reunited with director Chandoo Mondeti for a rustic love story action thriller Thandel which is scheduled to release theatrically later this year. The movie has Sai Pallavi as the female lead, reuniting with Chaitanya after Love Story (2021). ## Thandel is touted to be the best film of Naga Chaitanya and hence, not only in trade, the movie is in hot demand in digital and satellite. Recently, it was announced that Netflix acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the movie and now, according to the latest Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 40 crores for the same. ## The 40 crores deal with Netflix is the highest-ever digital deal for a Naga Chaitanya film which shows the anticipation for the movie among the audiences. It is not yet clear how long the theatrical window will be but Netflix usually pay higher prices for a short window (4 weeks). ## Thandel is produced by GA2 Pictures in association with Geetha Arts. Devi Sri Prasad scores the music for the movie which is said to be the biggest budgeted one for Chaitanya. Allu Arvind's Geetha Arts To Bankroll Multiple Big-Budget Films

Hyderabad, June 2 - Producer Allu Arvind backed Geetha Arts has announced multiple big-budget films for the next few years. The studio, which has delivered some of the big-budget blockbusters in the past, has been bankrolling low to mid-budget for some time now. ## Geetha Arts recently released the Telugu dubbed version of the Malayalam movie "2018" and scored a success with it. During the success meet recently, Allu Arvind revealed that going forward, Geetha Arts will produce larger-than-life entertainers while continuing to produce mid-cost movies. ## The producer revealed that he has signed star Telugu directors Boyapati Srinu and Surender Reddy along with the recent hitmaker, Karthikeya director Chandoo Mondeti for his upcoming projects. The studio is in talks with some of the superstars to headline these projects. ## "Our project with Boyapati Garu is in the scripting stage. Two-star heroes are in consideration for this project", Allu Arvind said and revealed that "Agent" director Surender Reddy is also working on the script work for a huge project. "Chandoo Mondeti will be directing three projects for Geetha Arts. Two scripts have been finalized already, and one of them will be made with a budget of nearly Rs 300 crore", he added.## While the studio hasn't revealed the details much, there is buzz that one of the films by Chandoo Mondeti will be with Tamil superstar Suriya. The director has previously revealed that he is in talks with Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan for a sci-fi film and the duo might team up for the same under the Geetha Arts banner.## Apart from the aforementioned projects, Allu Arvind will also be bankrolling a Pan India movie featuring his son, superstar Allu Arjun with director Trivikram Srinivas. Kartik Aaryan To Team Up With 'Karthikeya 2' Director Chandoo Mondeti For Sci-Fi Thriller?

Mumbai, April 3 - Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan is doing some quality work with multiple films in the pipeline. The actor is currently shooting for the musical romantic film "Satya Prem Ki Katha" which is scheduled to release in June this year. ## Kartik will next start director Kabir Khan's film and later this year, he will start the much-awaited "Aashiqui 3" and also has "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" due to commence in early 2024. Meanwhile, apart from his current commitments, the talented actor is also in talks to headline a sci-fi thriller. ## Director Chandoo Mondeti, who scored a big Pan India success with Karthikey 2, has narrated a script to Bollywood young talent. After Box Office, Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Karthikeya 2' Scores Big On ZEE5

Hyderabad, October 8 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's mystical action adventure film Karthikeya 2 was a massive hit at the box office, grossing over 117 crores worldwide. The movie was also released in Hindi and grossed approx. 37 crores. Mumbai, August 29 - Telugu blockbuster Karthikeya 2 continues to mint money at the box office and is racing towards the 100 crores mark at the box office. In the dubbed Hindi version, the Nikhil Siddharth-starrer film has become the 10th biggest South Indian grosser of all time. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the mystical action adventure film witnessed a solid hold over the third weekend and scored 4.42 crores net. The total net collection of the movie in the Hindi version has now reached approx. 25 crores, which makes it the 10th biggest South Indian film in the dubbed/direct Hindi version. ## "Karthikeya 2" has overtaken R Madhavan's "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect", which was a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie, to become the 10th biggest film. Box Office: Karthikeya 2 Overtakes Radhe Shyam In Hindi

Mumbai, August 26 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's blockbuster Karthikeya 2 has surpassed Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam's lifetime collection in Hindi languages. Radhe Shyam, which was released earlier in March this year, couldn't do justice to Prabhas' stardom in the Hindi version and ended up collecting only approx. 19.50 crores net. ## "Karthikeya 2", which opened to nothing numbers of just 7 lakh but grow significantly with each passing day after getting excellent reviews and super positive word of mouth. It scored 5.75 crores net in the opening week, followed by 13.52 crores (+235%) net in the second week. Box Office: Karthikeya 2 Scored An Excellent First Full Week

Hyderabad, August 20 - Telugu mystical action-adventure film, Karthikeya 2 is on a dream run at the box office. The movie, starring Nikhil Siddharth in the title role, had a limited release but went on to outshine other new releases to become a massive blockbuster within a week. ## "Karthikeya 2" was released on Saturday (August 13) and opened to super positive reviews and word of mouth. It scored 5.04 crores net on the first day and went on to finish the first full week (7 days) with approx. 36 crores net, including both Telugu and Hindi languages.## The movie was valued at approx. 13 crores worldwide and it has already scored over 28 crores Share the collection, including 18.7 crores share in Telugu states (AP/TG). It became the highest-grossing film for actor Nikhil in just 4 days and there is not stopping it at the moment. ## Meanwhile, the dubbed Hindi version of the movie is showing no sign of taking a back seat. The Hindi version opened with just 7 lakh on the first day but thanks to positive word of mouth, it grew exponentially throughout the first week and never dropped at once in the first 7 days. It closed the full opening week scoring 2.46 crores net. The total Hindi net collection is 8.21 crores.## The growth of film in the Hindi language can be understood by the number of shows it added over the week. It was released on just 55 shows by the 7th day, it had over 3000 shows and is increasing rapidly with each passing hour. In addition to under its further growth, K2 outscored outright Bollywood biggies, "Laal Singh Chaddha" and "Raksha Bandhan's" combined total yesterday (August 19). ## The worldwide gross total of "Karthikeya 2" is approx. 50 crores, including 7 crores at the overseas box office. The movie is directed by Chandoo Mondeti, and also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Adithya Menon, and Anupam Kher, among others in key roles.
