List Of All UFC Events In Order: Upcoming & Past Events

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) reigns supreme in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions. Since its debut event in 1993, the UFC has hosted a staggering number of fights across various formats. ## These include the highly anticipated numbered events (usually pay-per-view), Fight Nights (often streamed on ESPN+), The Ultimate Fighter Finales (also on ESPN+), and network-specific events broadcasted on ABC or ESPN. Traditionally, a UFC event unfolds with preliminary fights warming up the crowd before the main card takes center stage, concluding with the much-awaited main event.## Broadcast history for the UFC has seen an evolution. Early events relied primarily on pay-per-view, while Spike TV later emerged as a platform for preliminary fights and some Fight Nights. Fox Sports channels (1 & 2), FX, and Fuel TV also played a role in UFC broadcasts. Today, the UFC leverages ESPN+, ABC, and ESPN for broadcasts, with international events often finding a home on UFC Fight Pass.## A noteworthy milestone came in 2009 with UFC 100 (unofficially). Despite being the 101st numbered event, it marked a significant achievement for the organization. ## As of March 30, 2024 (UFC on ESPN: Blanchfield vs. Fiorot), the numbers speak for themselves: the UFC has staged a whopping 685 events across 165 cities in a remarkable 29 countries. ## Upcoming Events Event Date Venue Location UFC 306 Sep 14, 2024 Sphere Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. UFC 305 Aug 18, Sami Zayn strides towards the ring. Once the crowd's chants and songs for Sami die down, he warmly greets everyone in French, marking the beginning of Raw. Just as Sami is about to continue, THE Judgment Day's entrance interrupts, and they make their way to the ring, encircling Sami from all sides. Sami speaks up, asking a question before they proceed with whatever they have in mind. He says something in French, drawing enthusiastic reactions from the crowd. He questions whether they would really choose to appear here, of all places, without any backup. ## Suddenly, Kevin Owens' entrance music blares, and he heads to the ring. Kevin strikes Dom with a punch, causing him to collide with the ringside barrier. He swiftly trips Finn, sending him crashing into the ringside barrier as well. Kevin executes a kick and follows it up with a stunner on Priest. Snatching a microphone, Kevin gazes at THE Judgment Day, with the crowd erupting in chants for him. ## Addressing the audience's longing, he mentions that it's been quite a while since he had a match on Raw. Proposing an idea, he suggests that right here, tonight, it could be Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn taking on any two members of THE Judgment Day. Kevin delivers a line in French, altering the tone and dynamics of the moment. ## Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods Vs Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre ## The action commences with Woods and Riddle taking the lead. Woods employs a side headlock and follows it up with a cheeky pie face. Riddle swings for a clothesline but misses, allowing Woods to counter with a dropkick. Woods then drives a clothesline into the corner and propels Riddle into Kofi's waiting boot. Following this, Woods executes a belly-to-back suplex, setting the stage for Kofi's incoming splash that nearly secures a pinfall. Kofi's attempt at a belly-to-back suplex is thwarted as he nimbly lands on his feet, subsequently unleashing a well-placed dropkick. ## At this point, Drew enters the fray. Kofi employs a side headlock coupled with a crisp dropkick. Taking advantage of the corner, Kofi lands a forearm, but Drew promptly counters with an Irish whip. Demonstrating agility, Kofi leaps off the turnbuckles, only to be ensnared by Drew, who executes an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Not stopping there, Drew repeats the move on Woods. Riddle playfully embraces Drew, who seizes Riddle and effortlessly tosses him over the top rope with a belly-to-belly suplex. ## We've returned to the action, and Kofi inches close to securing a pinfall. Riddle employs a double wrist lock that transitions into a waist lock. To thwart Riddle's attempt at a tag, Kofi executes a side Russian leg sweep. Following this, Kofi employs a snap mare followed by a chest-kicking strike. Woods joins the fray with a sliding clothesline, setting up Kofi's springboard splash. Woods follows up with an elbow drop, coming close to a pinfall. He ensnares Riddle with an arm bar and lands an elbow across the bridge of Riddle's nose. Riddle retaliates with a series of strikes, but Woods anticipates a kick and adeptly avoids an enzuguigiri. Woods then executes a sliding DDT, prompting Kofi to tag in. Kofi launches into Shadows Over Hell, nearly clinching a victory. Kofi subsequently applies an arm bar. Scaling the turnbuckles, Kofi readies for a high-risk move, but Riddle counters with a jumping knee as Kofi descends. Woods reenters the ring, delivering an elbow drop to Riddle's back, thwarting his tag attempt. ## Riddle dishes out chops to Woods while positioned on the turnbuckles. Setting up for a superplex, Riddle executes a fisherman's superplex. However, as Riddle crawls towards his corner, Woods grabs his ankle. Riddle retaliates with a series of kicks, and Erik intervenes by pulling Drew off the apron. Seizing the opportunity, Kofi tags in and leaps over Riddle, connecting with Trouble in Paradise to secure the three-count victory. ## WINNERS: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ## Erik and Ivar launch an attack on Kofi and Woods after the match concludes. Ivar delivers a powerful spin kick to Kofi, knocking him down. Drew retaliates with a headbutt against Erik, but Ivar counters with a kick aimed at Drew. In response, Drew executes a spinebuster on Ivar, followed by clotheslining Ivar over the top rope and onto the floor.## Jackie Redmond is in the back with JD McDonagh with Finn Balor ## In the backstage area, Jackie Redmond interviews JD McDonagh alongside Finn Balor. The tag match is now officially confirmed. A commercial break follows. ## A Video Package Featuring Shayna Baszler ## Returning from the break, a Shayna Baszler video package takes the spotlight. She asserts that actions, not mere words, define one's course. Her mood is that of a vendetta, triggered by observing other women in action. She emphasizes that her intention isn't to be a hero but rather to set everything ablaze. Her directive is clear: survive at all costs, as she intends to let the world burn.## Maxxine, Otis and Chad Gable are Backstage ## We shift focus to Chad Gable's triumph over Giovanni Vinci and Gunther's ensuing reaction. Gunther declares that the world will bear witness to the glory of the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever. Chad, on the other hand, believes time is on Gunther's side, but in reality, it's his ally. Every passing day only adds to his legacy. Gunther won't establish his name at Chad's expense; Chad assures that Gunther's fairy tale ends tonight. Chad Gable stands alongside Otis and Maxxine. Byron Saxton appears, directing a question to Chad. ## Otis chimes in, acknowledging Chad's role in lifting him from his lowest career point to becoming a tag team champion. Tonight presents a golden opportunity for Chad. Maxxine shares her perspective, admitting she never anticipated becoming a ring performer, but Chad demonstrated her potential. If anyone can accomplish the seemingly impossible, it's Chad Gable. Chad adds a final note, expressing his gratitude with a simple yet profound "THANK YOU." ## Chad Gable Vs Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship ## They grapple, and Gunther drives Gable into the corner but comes up short with a chop. Gable responds with a chop of his own. Gunther applies a wrist lock, bringing Gable down to the mat and following it up with a knee drop on the arm. Gunther maintains the wrist lock, but Gable maneuvers his way out and executes a drop toe hold. Gable transitions into a front face lock, yet Gunther hoists Gable and tosses him over the top rope, sending him to the floor. Gunther follows with a solid chop. ## Upon our return, Gunther sends Gable off the apron with a kick, followed by a forceful back drop driver onto the ringside barrier. Gunther reenters the ring, allowing the referee to resume the count. Gable manages to get back in just in time, right at the count of nine. Gunther executes a delayed butterfly suplex, securing a near fall. Following up, Gunther delivers a harsh Irish whip that propels Gable sternum-first into the turnbuckles. Gable collapses upon being Irish whipped by Gunther, prompting the referee to check on him. ## Gunther kicks Gable while he's in the corner. Gable responds with a boot to the head, followed by another one. Gable delivers more kicks to the head. When Gunther attempts a chop, Gable blocks it and ensnares Gunther in a cross arm breaker within the ropes. As Gable leaps off the turnbuckles, he's met with a chop from Gunther. ## Gunther executes a clothesline, securing a near fall. Gable responds with a dropkick, but Gunther manages to stay on his feet. Another clothesline from Gunther results in another near fall. Gunther goes for yet another clothesline, but Chad counters with a judo throw, almost getting a pinfall. ## Gunther attempts a sleeper hold, with Gable initially blocking his arm. However, Gunther eventually locks in the sleeper and climbs onto Gable's back. Gable rises to his feet, breaking free from Gunther's grip. Gunther strikes with a forearm to the back of Gable's head. Gable retaliates with a series of forearms, but Gunther stands firm. Gunther reverts to the sleeper hold, only for Gable to escape by executing a Saito suplex. ## Gable prepares for a deadlift German suplex, but Gunther counters. Gunther aims for a knee strike, but Gable thwarts it and responds with a dragon screw. Gable transitions into an ankle lock. Gunther tries reaching the ropes, but Gable pulls him towards the center of the ring. Gunther kicks Gable away and then delivers a slap. Gable retaliates with a double leg takedown and punches to Gunther. Gable proceeds to slap Gunther and successfully executes a deadlift German suplex for a near fall. ## Gunther shoves Gable off the turnbuckles, causing him to collide with the ringside barrier. Gunther descends to the floor, chopping Gable and delivering kicks against the ringside barrier. Another round of chops from Gunther connects with Gable against the ringside barrier. However, Gunther misses a chop, hitting the ring post instead. Seizing the moment, Gable propels Gunther into the ring post and executes a German suplex over the ringside barrier. Gable manages to return to the ring before the referee's ten-count. ## WINNER: Chad Gable (via count out) [Gunther retains championship] ## After the match, Gunther vents his frustration by unleashing his anger on the furniture around ringside. Vinci and Kaiser ensure that Samantha announces Gunther as the champion. ## The Judgment Day discussion ## We shift to THE Judgment Day clubhouse, where Rhea seeks clarity on the team's composition. Finn proposes that he and Dom should be the team. Priest argues that, considering Dom is the North American Champion and he holds the Money in the Bank contract, he and Dom should form the team. Dom defers to Rhea, asking for her opinion. Rhea responds by stating that she has matters to attend to, warning them to figure it out before she returns, or else she'll make the decision herself. ## Cody Rhodes promo with Byron Sazton ## Cody Rhodes is backstage with Byron Saxton. A commercial break follows. We return, and Gunther is seen shouting at Vinci and Kaiser in German before walking away. Kaiser acknowledges Gunther's sentiment and questions Vinci about his course of action. Kaiser then departs. Cody joins Byron Saxton. Byron queries Cody about the conclusion of Raw. Cody questions JD McDonagh's behavior, referring to him as a Funko Pop. He states that the current approach isn't effective and expresses his desire to take a walk. Accompanied by Byron, Cody heads towards the stage. ## Speaking in French, Cody asks the Quebec crowd what they'd like to discuss. Byron inquires about Cody's topic of choice. Cody greets the audience, introducing "Wade and Cole." He references a video clip, highlighting the advantage THE Judgment Day holds in numbers. He emphasizes that there's a unique place on the map where numerical superiority doesn't matter, right in the vicinity of Kevin and Sami's hometown. Cody desires THE Judgment Day to feel the energy of the crowd, acknowledging their support for Sami and Kevin. Cody makes it clear that he holds no affection for THE Judgment Day, and he intends to watch closely. Tonight is dedicated to Kevin and Sami, as the rise and potential fall of THE Judgment Day will unfold before all eyes. ## Shinsuke Nakamura challenges Seth Rollins for a match at Payback ## Cut to Shinsuke Nakamura. He begins by addressing a question that's been on everyone's minds – what did he whisper to Seth that filled him with fear? Nakamura points out that Seth may appear to have everything: success, charm, and a championship, but he knows Seth's vulnerability. He reveals that he told Seth about his knowledge of Seth's back, the source of his pain. Nakamura asserts that Seth's life is marred by agony, casting a shadow over even the most joyful moments like hugging his wife or lifting his child. Despite his championship status, Seth grapples with daily pain, and now, his worst fears are coming true – there's someone who could snatch it all away from him. ## Nakamura acknowledges that they share similarities. Both live by a code, one etched onto Nakamura's back, which he admits is faltering. He criticizes Seth for failing to adhere to that code, accusing him of crumbling under his own vanity. Nakamura challenges Seth's contentment and declares his intent to break him once and for all. He issues a warning to Seth to be vigilant, watching his back. Miz asserts that true champions accept the unforeseen circumstances that arise during big matches. He underscores his own evolution and dismisses the notion of being a mere trend, positioning himself as a future Wrestlemania main eventer. Miz reveals that he has handpicked Knight's opponent, someone swifter and more dominant than Knight's previous challengers. ## Miz hands Tozawa a microphone and playfully alludes to Tozawa's past as a former 24/7 champion. Miz questions if this is the most significant match of Tozawa's career, to which Tozawa enthusiastically responds, "YEAH." Growing irritated, Miz questions Tozawa's amusement at being given a career-defining opportunity. In an abrupt turn, Miz kicks Tozawa, marking a shift from the lighthearted exchange to a more serious confrontation. ## Singles Match: MIz Vs Akira Tozawa ## As LA Knight's entrance music resonates, the match commences, prompting Miz to shift his focus toward the entrance ramp. She asserts her tiredness of constantly having to prove herself and asserts her determination to unveil an unseen side of herself in the cage match. Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Denis Villeneuve mourn Jean-Marc Vallee

Los Angeles, Dec 28 (IANS) Hollywood stars Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley and Denis Villeneuve have remembered Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallee who died on Saturday. ## Vallee, who directed films such as 'Dallas Buyers Club' and 'Wild' and helmed TV projects including 'Big Little Lies' and 'Sharp Objects', died suddenly at his cabin outside Quebec City, Canada on Saturday. He was 58 years old, reports variety.com. ## "I am in shock. Complete and utter shock," 'Big Little Lies' actress Shailene Woodley wrote in an Instagram story. ## "I guess somehow I know you will turn it into a grand adventure and one of the books, one I can't wait to read and watch when my time comes. It doesn't make sense though, dude. It doesn't make sense. Maybe when we wake up tomorrow you'll be there laughing saying it was just a satirical short film you made. That it's not real." ## Canadian director Tanya Lapointe shared a tribute from her husband, fellow Quebecois filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, on Instagram. ## "How must I forget these lonesome tears in my eyes? As you told me before: go out there and shine, crazy diamond!" wrote Villeneuve. ## "I love you my friend." ## "Jean-Marc Vallee's passion for his work is equally matched by the care and consideration he showed to everyone he collaborated with," Endeavor Content said in a statement. ## The production company had partnered with Vallee's Crazyrose on 'Lady in the Lake' and 'The Player's Table'. ## "We are honoured to have worked with him as a producing partner and as a friend. On behalf of our colleagues, our productions, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his sons, family, Nathan Ross and the entire Crazyrose team." ## 'Big Little Lies' and 'Wild' star Reese Witherspoon wrote: "My heart is broken. My friend. I love you." ## Laura Dern, who also worked with Vallee on 'Big Little Lies' and 'Wild', mourned the director as "one of our great and purest artists and dreamers." ## "It's hard to imagine someone as vital, energetic, and present as Jean-Marc being gone. I'm shattered," Nicole Kidman wrote. "He was at the center of my creative universe and I can't overstate his significance to me." ## Vallee's publicist Bumble Ward conveyed her own shock over the news. ## "What you may not know is that he was sweet and kind, full of gratitude, remembered birthdays and sent awesome mixtapes, while still being a creative genius," Ward wrote. ##
