Mumbai, February 20 - Warner Bros. Pictures' sci-fi epic Dune: Part 1 re-release has made an impressive punch at the global box office in a smart move by the studio to create further buzz for its hugely-awaited sequel's release on March 1st. ## Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune Part 1, which was originally released in 2021, recently returned to cinemas worldwide and in just a week, the movie has grossed an impressive $30 million (250 crores) at the worldwide box office. ## The movie grossed $403.5 million in its original run in 2021 and with a re-release gross collection of $30 million, its cumulative global haul is now $433.7 million of which, around $109 million has come from the domestic (North America) market and remaining $325 million from international markets. ## Dune 2 is among the hottest upcoming Hollywood movies and the super response to its predecessor has further boosted its box office prospects from its current $65+ million opening weekend projection in North America. Warner Bros. 'Dune: Part 2' Box Office Projection Revealed

Los Angeles, February 15 - Warner Bros. Pictures' epic science fiction film Dune: Part 2 is setting up to be one of the most-anticipated films. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, it is the second of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert. ## Following the success of the first part, released in 2021, Hollywood Trade is hoping for the massive success of Dune 2. However, the film's early box office projections have been revealed and it is currently falling short of the trade expectations. ## According to Deadline, Dune 2 is tracking to gross $65 million - $75 million in its domestic (North America) opening box office weekend. Pictures is left with no choice but to postpone the release of its highly-anticipated sci-fi epic "Dune: Part 2" to next year from its original November 3, 2023, date.## Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sequel, which will continue the story of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, will now be hitting big screens on March 15, 2024. It was revealed last month that the studio is planning to shift the release date of "Dune 2" if strikes continue and now, the official announcement has been made regarding the same.## As part of the shift, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire", which was slated for March 14, 2024, has now been pushed back one month to April 12, 2024. 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' Tracking To Earn $250+ Million Worldwide In The Opening Weekend

Los Angeles, May 3 - The finale of Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy by director James Gunn is hitting the big screen this Friday (May 5) and the movie is expected to start the summer box office with a bang. ## According to Hollywood trade experts, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is projected to open around $110 million - $120 million in its 3-day domestic (North America) opening weekend. This can be termed as an underwhelming start as "GoTG2" opened at $146 million in 2017. ## While the critics' reviews are decent for the third installment, the poor performance of the recent Marvel movies can be seen affecting the opening of "GoTG3" which is being hailed as the best Marvel movie since "Avengers: Endgame" (2019). ## Internationally, the superhero movie is expected to score around $140 million - $150 million over a 5-day opening weekend. The worldwide opening of the film is projected to be around $250 million - $270 million. It cost over $200 million to make, according to Variety. ## The last few Marvel movies haven't performed to their potential, especially "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", which despite the biggest opening in the "Ant-Man" franchise, ended up as the lowest-grossing film in the series with a worldwide gross collection finishing below $500 million mark. "GoTG3" is expected to bring Marvel back and is carrying the potential to surprise everyone at the box office.## In the film, the Guardians embark on a mission to protect Rocket (Cooper) from the High Evolutionary (Iwuji). Los Angeles, March 27 - Marvel Studios' next blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 from director James Gunn is getting ready to release on May 5 this year. The superhero flick will be the longest film in the franchise with reported runtime of around 2 hours and 29 minutes. ## Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is set to end the team's run in the MCU on a highly emotional note, giving fans the last story ever with this iteration of the intergalactic team of misfits. It might also be the last MCU film for James Gunn since he is now the co-head of DC Studio and is already working towards DC Films. ## Meanwhile, the longer runtime of GoTG3 has come as a surprise to many, however, Gunn revealed that it was necessary and promised that it will be worth it. The filmmaker took to Twitter to share about the extended runtime and respond to a user who asked if the movie is actually 2 hours and 29 minutes. ## "It's around that long, although that's not yet exact.
