Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Shows Growth On Its 2nd Day

Mumbai, Dec 12, 2021: Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui which had an average first day, had witnessed the highest 2nd-day growth for any film in 2021 which is an excellent sign for the film and the industry as this is an important film for the industry. ## After collecting 3.75 Cr on its first day, the film showed a jump of around 30% on its 2nd day and collected 4.87 Cr taking its two days total to 8.62 Cr. ## The growth is very good and more importantly, the circuits which didn't perform well on the first day performed better on 2nd day. The growth in the multiplexes of Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru signals a positive sign for the film while Delhi, NCR, and Chandigarh remain the dominating circuits. ## The film won't get much of a free run as many event films are lined up to release in the coming week so the film has to take the advantage of initial days. Housefull 4 Holding Well; Other Releases Remained Dull On Day 2

After a healthy opening day, Housefull 4 followed almost the same pattern on its second day as well. With not much change in day 2 occupancy, it earned 19 Cr India net according to early estimates which are only 0.40% fewer from day 1. ## A pre-Diwali day helped this biggest comedy entertainer of the year to hold on day 2 which is a good hold considering the busy festivities. Just like the opening day, the Northern region remained low while Mumbai and most parts of the southern region did well to contribute in total telly. ## The occupancy in Mumbai for Housefull 4 was almost 10% higher from its first day as it was 37.50% for the day plus some more shows added from day 1. Going with the occupancy and increased shows, Housefull 4 earned nearly 6.50 Cr in Mumbai region on day 2. Among the other main cities, Delhi remained almost the same with 27.50% occupancy for the day which is highest among the Northern region cities. ## Hyderabad and Bengaluru remained strong throughout the day whereas, Chennai has had the highest occupancy with 93.75% for the day on least shows among the top cities. Kolkata too had a good hold with 25% occupancy for the day. The night occupancy for Housefull 4 dropped by a few % while the morning occupancy was improved from day 1. On day 1, it earned 8 Cr from the overseas market. UAE was the main contributor with nearly 3.50 Cr while the USA, UK, and Australia contributed around 2.50 Cr. Including day 2, Housefull 4 has gross around 60 Cr worldwide. ## On the other hand, Made In China which earned 1.30 Cr India net on day 1, witnessed nearly 15% growth on day as it earned approx 1.50 Cr India net. Lack of shows and tough competition from Housefull 4 has come to down Made In China.## The same can be said for Saand Ki Aankh which is even worse than Made In China. After earning only 70 Lakh on day 1, Bhumi Pednekar, and Taapsee Pannu starrar however witnessed nearly 40% growth as it earned approx 1 Cr net. ## With two more films releasing on next Friday, both Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China have a tough task ahead. War, on the third Saturday, becomes the highest-grossing Hindi movie of the year 2019. It jumped nearly 50% on its 18th day as it earned around 4.60 Cr India net for all languages and took its net collection to 295.65 Cr including 282.20 Cr from Hindi only while its worldwide collection is 436 Cr for all languages.## On 3rd Saturday, War crossed Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrar Kabir Singh which earned 278.80 Cr net and becomes the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019. It has already crossed Dhoom 3's Hindi collection which is 271.07 Cr. ## Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor starrar, War may also become the second Indian movie of 2019 to cross 300 Cr net after Prabhas and Sharddha Kapoor's Saaho which earned 310.60 Cr for all languages. ## Talking about its 3rd Saturday collection, it got a boost towards the evening and night shows due to due to holiday tomorrow (Sunday). The occupancy was good for the day as it was an average of 18%. War is heading towards 300 Cr India net pretty quickly. On its second Saturday, War performed brilliantly and earned roughly 11.80 Cr India net for all languages. It jumped nearly 45% from yesterday and was way ahead than 'The Sky Is Pink' and 'Sye Raa Narashima Reddy'. ## War, however, on its 11th day, has had a slow start. The occupancy in the morning shows was around 10% but it picked well towards the evening and night shows whereas the occupancy was nearly 40%. Overall, War has had 30% full shows for the day. ## War recorded the higher numbers in Bengaluru, and Hyderabad than most of the cities of the North region. The occupancy in Bengaluru and Hyderabad was nearly 55% which is almost double from Delhi and Mumbai. However, these circuits have more than 50% fewer shows than that of Delhi and Mumbai. Previously, Krrish 3 was the highest for him which earned 244.05 Cr net. War witnessed a substantial decline on day 2 (Thursday) and earned roughly 21 Cr. (all languages) India net after bossing the first day at the box office. Despite picking the pace towards the evening and night shows, the average occupancy for this action thriller on day 2 was 27% which is nearly 1/3 of its first day.## War had a huge first day at the box office which shows it becomes the highest Hindi collection movie on the first day in India as it earned 53.35 Cr.
