
Hrithik Roshan Talks About 'Dhoom' Being One of The Largest Movie Franchises In India
Mumbai, March 1 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has been a part of Yash Raj Films' one of the most successful film franchises, Dhoom. Hrithik headlined the second installment of the franchise, "Dhoom 2" which was released in 2006 and became a huge blockbuster. ## Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, "Dhoom 2" featured Hrithik as a slick thief Aryan Singh "Mr. A". During YRF's recently released Netflix docu-series "The Romantics", which is a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra & YRF and their cultural impact on India and Indians for the past 50 years, Hrithik talk about the popularity of "Dhoom" franchise.## Speaking about the franchise, Hrithik said that "Dhoom" is one of the biggest movie brands in the country. "Nothing of that kind had been attempted, executed, or perfected, which I think happened, you know, with each series of Dhoom it just went up a notch!", he said.## The "Krrish" star credited Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films for creating something very special franchise like "Dhoom". "I was sure that he (Adi) would be a filmmaker. But I think he's gone much beyond that. I think he's not just a filmmaker now. I think he's a creator of cinema in a larger sense. He's at the forefront of our industry", he added.## The blockbuster franchise kickstarted in 2004 with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan leading the first installment. The last film in the series, "Dhoom 3", starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Katrina Kaif released in 2013 and became an all-time blockbuster. YRF is reportedly working on the 4th installment, however, no actor has been attached yet. ## Stay tuned...
