Bha Bha Ba Box Office: Dileep-starrer Action Comedy Storms Kerala Box Office With Second Biggest Malayalam Opening

Kochi, December 19 - Malayalam star Dileep's action comedy film Bha Bha Ba, also featuring superstar Mohanlal in an extended cameo role, has stormed the box office with the second biggest opening for a Malayalam title in Kerala, beating many biggies. Directed by Dhananjay Shankar, Bha Bha Ba delivered a big opening day of 7.20 crores gross as the second biggest Mollywood title in the state, behind only Mohanlal's Empuraan (14+ crores gross), and tied with Odiyan, which is also a Mohanlal-starrer, practically making it a hat-trick for the megastar. Avatar: The Way of Water To Get The Widest Release For A Hollywood Movie In India

Mumbai, December 15 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is all set for the record release at the Indian box office. The sequel to the highest-grossing movie of all time, "Avatar 2" releases on December 16 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages in multiple formats.## As per industry sources, "Avatar 2" will be released on over 4000 screens in India for all languages, which is the highest screen count for a Hollywood movie. The previous highest screen count for a Hollywood movie was "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which was released on 3250 screens across the country. ## The movie will have a record release in the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) with approx. 750 screens. The Telugu states are also leading the advance sales for "Avatar 2", which is set to take the biggest opening for a Hollywood movie there. ## As reported earlier, the Disney tentpole is tracking $550 million in the worldwide opening weekend, including $180 million in the domestic (North America) market. 'Avatar: The Way of Water' Pre-Sales Gains Momentum Ahead of The Big Release In India

Mumbai, December 13 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is all set to explode at the Indian box office on December 16. The science-fiction epic has been one of the most-anticipated Hollywood films of the year and it can clearly be seen in the pre-sales booking. ## The advance booking of "Avatar 2" was opened a month before the release date and it was going at a steady pace, however, over the last 24 hours, the booking has picked up and has gained upward momentum. The movie has sold over 3.5 lakh tickets in all versions for the opening day (Dec. 16), and nearly 30% of tickets have been booked in the last 24 hours. ## The movie will be released in multiple languages, but it is the original English version which is having a maximum number of tickets booked. The 3D, 2D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX 3D of English version has sold approx. 1.9 lakh tickets worth approx. 7.50 crores gross so far for the opening day.## The Hindi 3D version has been able to sell approx. 44K tickets worth approx. 1.40 crores gross. The overall advance booking collection of "Avatar 2" for the opening day is approx. 11 crores gross (till December 13 afternoon). James Cameron's 'Avatar 2' Gets Official Title And Teaser Update

Los Angeles, April 28 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic, "Avatar 2" first glimpse was shown at CinemaCon 2022, during Disney's slate presentation. The attendees at CinemaCon were overjoyed to see the first tease/trailer of the world of Pandora. ## The title of "Avatar 2", which has officially been announced to debut in theaters on December 16 this year, is "Avatar - The Way of Water". "Avatar 2" is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. It will capture the story of Sully family, the trouble that follows them, and the battle they fight to stay alive.## The first teaser/trailer of the movie, which was screened in 3D for the CinemaCon audiences, will be attached with Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness" in theaters from May 6. It will later release on YouTube, maybe a couple of days after the "Doctor Strange 2" release. ## Producer Jon Landau also reported (via THR) that the four sequels of "Avatar" will be about Jake and Nyteri's family - each a standalone film "together ever-greater connected epic saga. Kerala Police Register Non-Bailable Case Against Actor Dileep

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 9 (JANS) Kerala Police has registered a non-bailable case against Malayalam superstar Dileep, his brother Anoop, his brother-in-law Sooraj and other family members. The case was registered following a revelation by a close friend of the actor and Malayalam movie director Balachandra Kumar.## Dileep was arrested in 2017 and lodged in a prison in a case related to a gang sexually assaulting a front-line heroine of South Indian movies and filming the scenes. Police later tracked the gang to Dileep and the actor was arrested in July 2017 and jailed. After two months in jail, he was released on bail and the trial in the case is on.## Balachandra Kumar who has recently fallen out with Dileep had told Police that the actor is in possession of a few clips of the female actor who was sexually assaulted.## On Sunday Deputy SP of Kerala Police Biju Paulose who was the investigating officer lodged a complaint with the Kerala police stating that Balachandra Kumar has deposed that Dileep while watching a YouTube video at his home of former Aluva Rural district police superintendent, A.V. George said that he would do away with the officer as well as other four officers who were responsible for arresting him.## He, according to the deposition of the director, had said that he would cut and remove the right hand of Superintendent of Police Sudarshan who had allegedly assaulted him during police custody. The director also said that one of the accused had told Dileep that for this he will have to spend Rs 1.5 crore for a gang of rowdies who can be engaged for the job.## The Malayalam Superstar, according to Balachandra Kumar also openly said that Kerala DGP, B. Sandhya, ADGP Sreejith, SPs A.V. George, and S. Sudarshan, and Dy SP Byju Paulose are on the list of officers who would be attacked and done away with.## Police registered an FIR against Dileep and his relatives and investigations are on.## Stay tuned...

Actress abduction case: Setback for actor Dileep as police for further probe

Kochi, Dec 29 (IANS) Popular actor Dileep, who is accused in the infamous actress abduction case, on Wednesday suffered a jolt when the police approached the trial court seeking a further probe in the case in the light of new revelations. ## This development came at a time when the trial in the case before a special court here was all set to end shortly. ## The actress was abducted and assaulted in a moving car in Kochi on February 17, 2017, and Dileep was arrested in July 2017 in connection with the case, spending several weeks in jail before securing bail. ## He has been named as a conspirator in the case, being charged with "revenge crime". ## The police filed the petition before the court after film director Balachandra Kumar's disclosure when he said soon after Dileep was released on bail, he saw the visuals of the assault on the actress in the car. ## Kumar also claimed that the visuals were handed over to the actor by a VIP and he was privy to all this. ## Incidentally, till now, it is only the trial court that has seen these visuals and if the statement of Kumar is true, then it is going to be a serious issue. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Updates.
