The First Teaser/Trailer Of 'Doctor Strange 2' Shows Darker Version Of Dr. Strange

Mumbai, December 23 - Marvel Studios has dropped the first official teaser/trailer of "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", the sequel to the 2016 film which introduced Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon whose life takes a turn after meeting with an accident. ## The first teaser of the sequel was attached to "Spider-Man: No Way Home's" second post-credit scene which introduced the darker version of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Dr. Strange opened the multiverse during "No Way Home", despite the warning by Benedict Wong's Sorcerer Supreme about its dangerous result, and released villains from other universes into the MCU.## When things started getting out of control, Dr. Strange approaches Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch to seek her help to restore the multiverse to what it was before he opened it. Scarlet Witch, meanwhile, thinks he is there to punish her for the events of WandaVision. However, it isn't the case as he asks her what she knows about the multiverse?## One of the last footage of the 2 minutes 11 seconds of the teaser shows one of the versions of Dr. Strange is dangerous, as he is told that "the greatest threat to our universe is you", the smiling darker version of Strange concluded by saying, "things just got out of hands".## ## "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" recently went through reshoots over the course of six weeks in Los Angeles and through the end of 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home Second Trailer Gives A Sneak Peek Into The Villainous Multiverse

Mumbai, November 17 - The moment, all Spider-Man fans around the world have been waiting for, is finally here as Sony/Marvel released the second trailer of the 3rd MCU Spider-Man flick, "No Way Home", on Wednesday (IST). The awaited 2nd trailer premiered only a month before the movie releases in theaters (Dec. 17), and it gave a closer look at what Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is going to face in the movie, which is seen as the finest Spider-Man film. ## When someone says that "No Way Home" is your film to watch out for, trust him because it is going to be that epic in many ways. It is not like the previous Spidey movies where Peter Parker made things miserable and when they looked getting out of control, he fought with them and managed to save the universe. This time, he has many things to get right and in that process, he is going to face a Villainous Multiverse, in which, all the previous super-villains of Spider-Man movies, come face-to-face to take on Tom Holland's web-slinger. ## So this is how it all begins. Peter Parker (Tom Holland), whose identity as Spider-Man revealed at the end of 2019's "Spider-Man: Far From Home", seeks the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to undo the chaos created by him. However, in the process of hiding his identity, the multiverse gets open that unleashes a suite of villains from previous "Spider-Man" franchises, including Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin from 2002's "Spider-Man", Alfred Molina's Otto Octavius from 2004's "Spider-Man 2", Thomas Haden Church's Sandman from 2007's "Spider-Man 3", Rhys Ifans' the Lizard from 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and Jamie Foxx's Electro from 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".## It was already revealed through confirmed reports and major leaks that the previous Spider-Man villains would be featuring in "No Way Home", their inclusion had also led fans to expect that the actors who previously played the iconic web-slinger - Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield - would be making their presence in the second trailer. However, this didn't happen despite Molina's Doc Ock does not consider Holland to be Peter Parker, as shown in the trailer. ## The 2nd "No Way Home" trailer was first launched at a fan event in Los Angeles, where Tom Holland and others were present. While the guessing game is still on about the inclusion of Tobey and Garfield - Holland did appear to hint that such a moment could be in the film by referring to shooting a "true moment in cinematic history".## Holland did not spill the details, but he said that when Marvel first pitched him the movie, "I was like, 'That's never going to work. There's no way you're going to be able to get that done'. And they did". He added, "You're going to see a style of fighting in this film that you've never seen in a Spider-Man movie before. They designed these fights to shock you guys, to really put you on your back foot". ## Directed by Jon Watts, the movie also stars Zendaya reprising her role as MJ, Jacob Batalon is back as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei is Aunt May, Jon Favreau returns as Happy Hogan and Benedict Wong is Wong from "Doctor Strange". It will be released on December 17 in the USA and day-and-date in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. ## ## Stay tuned...

When Jessica Chastain snubbed role in 'Doctor Strange'

Los Angeles, April 4 (IANS) Actress Jessica Chastain turned down the chance to play Dr. Christine Palmer in the Benedict Cumberbatch starrer "Doctor Strange" as she only wants to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as a superhero.## The writer of "Doctor Strange", C Robert Cargill, said that director Scott Derrickson wanted to rope in Chastain for the role of Strange's former lover Dr. Christine Palmer, reports femalefirst.co.uk.## Once Chastain turned down the role, it then went to actress Rachel McAdams.## Speaking on the Junkfood Cinema podcast, Cargill said: "The interesting thing that Hollywood's starting to find out is that a lot of the actresses out there want to be superheroes as much as the actors do.## "I know this happened with Scott. He went to Jessica Chastain to get her on Doctor Strange because we were considering her ... (and) she's like, 'Hey, look, this project sounds awesome, and I would love to do it. But I'm only going to get one shot at being in a Marvel film and becoming a Marvel character, and I trained in ballet, and I really want to wear a cape.'## "And that was the coolest rejection ever. She wanted to be the superhero, not badass doctor Night Nurse."## Chastain did play Vuk, the leader of a shape-shifting alien race known as the D'Bari, in the 2019 film 'Dark Phoenix', which is based on the Marvel Comics characters the "X-Men".## For more and latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned with us.
