'John Wick 5' Officially Confirmed With Star Keanu Reeves and Director Chad Stahelski Set To Return

Los Angeles, April 2 - John Wick is set to return for at least one more time as Lionsgate has officially confirmed the fifth installment of this action thriller franchise at the CinemaCon event 2025. ## Taking to the CinemaCon stage on Tuesday morning, Lionsgate announced John Wick 5 with star Keanu Reeves set to return as the nunchuck-wielding hitman along with director Chad Stahelski. The story for the movie has been finalized. ## Meanwhile, the action franchise is expanding with an animated prequel film and a Caine-centric standalone adventure from director-star Donnie Yen. Additionally, there is the spin-off, Ballerina starring Ana de Armas slated to hit the screens on June 6. ## The fourth instalment, John Wick: Chapter 4 of this decade-long franchise, was released in 2023 and grossed over $440 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing movie of the series. The Fifth Installment of The Keanu Reeves-Fronted 'John Wick' Franchise Is In The Early Development

Los Angeles, May 27 - The 4-films John Wick recently crossed the milestone of $1 billion at the global box office after the recording-breaking performance of "John Wick: Chapter 4" which has so far grossed over $425 million worldwide. ## Now, as "John Wick 4" is nearing its run at the box office, Lionsgate has already started working on its fifth installment with Keanu Reeves returning to reprise his role as Baba Yaga aka John Wick, a professional hitman and assassin. ## During a Q4 earnings call on Thursday, Lionsgate's motion picture group chair Joe Drake presented the plans of the studio for the "John Wick" franchise and teased the 5th installment of the action thriller series. ## "What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spinoff that comes out next year. We're in development on three others, including five and including the television series, The Continental, which will be airing soon", Joe Drake said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.## "We're building out the world and when that five movies comes, it will be organic "” will be organically grown out of how we're starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick", he added.## In Chapter 4, directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick uncovers a path to defeating the High Table, a journey that sets in motion the events of the film and its climatic dual at Paris' Sacré Coeur. Los Angeles, March 22 - The fourth installment of the neo-noir action thriller franchise John Wick is looking all set to conquer the box office this weekend. ## The Lionsgate/Thunder Road Films/87 Eleven's John Wick: Chapter 4 is aiming at a record opening for the franchise with $120+ million worldwide weekend. At the domestic (North America) box office, John Wick 4 is projected to start with $70+ million and about $55+ million internationally. ## The Keanu Reeves-fronted 'R' rated flick is flying high with critics' reviews. It is the best-reviewed John Wick movie among all four with a critics' score of 96% and certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The all-important audience score too is super solid with 96% currently.## The last film of the franchise, "John Wick: Chapter 3 "“ Parabellum" (2019) grossed $171 million domestically after scoring the franchise's biggest opening weekend of $57 million. Worldwide, the movie tallied $328 million, becoming the highest-grossing installment in a $589 million grossing franchise. ## Surprisingly, John Wick 4 is having very good pre-sales in India for the opening weekend. 'Mulan' director opens up on coronavirus battle

Los Angeles, March 11 (IANS) 'Mulan' director Niki Caro has opened up about the 'difficult time' marked by the worldwide spread of the highly infectious coronavirus and sent in her 'deepest respect' to the people working hard to battle the disease.## Amid the global coronavirus outbreak, Disney's "Mulan" had a fashionable fairy tale premiere here.
