Mumbai, May 14, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" released amid a huge buzz. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the movie opted for a hybrid release simultaneously in theaters and on multiple digital platforms via pay-per-view on May 13 in India. Overseas, it still released in theaters.## As expected, a record number of people watched Radhe on ZeePlex and Zee5. The response was Unprecedented that the server of ZeePlex was crashed multiple times due to the heavy traffic, which was fixed later. However, despite the positive response, the big mass entertainer fails to impress the viewers, who declared it among the worst movies of Salman Khan. ## Radhe has become the lowest-rated movie on IMDb for Salman Khan. The IMDb rating of Radhe is 1.7 with over 110K users rated the movie till Monday (May 17). Earlier, Saawan... The Love Season (2006) was the lowest-rated movie for the actor with an IMDb rating of 1.9. Meanwhile, the South Korean movie, "The Outlaws", which has inspired Radhe, has a good IMDb rating of 7.2 from nearly 5K votes. ## Among the all-time lowest-rated Bollywood movies, on IMDb, Radhe stands with movies like Khaali Peeli (2020), Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007), Boom (I) (2003), and others. Mumbai, May 13, 2021: It could have been a blockbuster Eid for cinema owners if the covid-19 pandemic were not here to spoil their much-deserved party with Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. However, for the change, the OTT platforms, Zeeplex, and Zee5 along with overseas theaters came to life with the release of this big mass entertainer after a long time. ## Radhe, which was held back for a theatrical release for more than a year, couldn't avert the inevitable because of the pandemic. The movie, which finally saw a release on May 13 on the occasion of Eid, went for a hybrid release - the first of its kind of release in India. Mumbai, May 11, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has apologized to theater owners who were hoping actor's upcoming film, "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" to release in theaters and help them recover their losses due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Prabhudheva, the movie will start streaming on multiple platforms, including OTT and DTH services, on May 13 at the festival of Eid. It will also release in theaters whenever they are open in India, though most of the states have shut the cinemas due to the second covid-19 wave. ## "I apologize to cinema owners who were hoping to earn profits with the release of this film. We waited as long as we could, hoping that this pandemic would end and we would be able to release in theatres all over the country. But that did not happen. We don't know when things will go back to normal", Salman Khan told reporters in a roundtable interview from Mumbai. ## "I couldn't have kept my Eid commitment with fans without the support of ZEE. It was important to release the film at a time like this because people are suffering due to the pandemic. Incomes have reduced for many, so now, instead of spending a lot of money on tickets at the cinemas, people can watch it at a much cheaper rate at home. I want to provide some entertainment to people at a grim time like this", Salman said. ## However, the actor again expressed his desire to release the film in theaters when things subside and it is 'safe' for people to visit cinema halls. ## "I know people are disappointed that they will not be able to watch Radhe on the big screen. Some people have booked auditoriums and are planning to screen my film, which I won't encourage because I don't want people to say 'Salman Khan ki picture dekhne gaye aur corona phail gaya'. Once everything is safe, we will release the film again in the theatres. We hope the film does well then too", the actor said.## Radhe is said to have a remake of the 2017 Korean film The Outlaws. The Urvashi Rautela starrer Virgin Bhanupriya which is all set to premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5 on July 16, is inspired by the director of the film Ajay Lohan's real-life experience, claimed Gautam Gulati who plays the male lead in the comedy-drama. ## "Virgin Bhanupriya is a story inspired by personal experience and friends of our director Ajay. During the shoot, he used to sit with me and help me with the accent of ‘Shartiye’, which is why I didn’t have to learn any language", Gautam told IANS.## "As this film is based on Ajay's real-life experiences, he has included different characters from among his real-life friends. The interesting bit is that I don’t know if I am playing Ajay's character or any of his friends", the actor added. ## The story of Virgin Bhanupriya revolves around a girl named Bhanupriya (Urvashi), who is trying her best to lose her virginity but fails in every attempt.
