Yash's 'Toxic' Confirmed To Be A Bilingual Blockbuster

Bengaluru, February 24 - Kannada superstar Yash has teamed up with national-award-winning director Geethu Mohandas for a gangster action drama film Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The movie has been in production since last year with plans to release in 2025. ## Recently, it was reported that Toxic would be a bilingual film and now, it has been confirmed the same. After the record-breaking success of KGF 2, Yash's popularity has soared beyond the borders, and considering that Toxic is being aimed at a global audience. ## It has been confirmed that Toxic is being simultaneously shot in the English and Kannada languages, making it the first major Kannada title to do this. Additionally, it will be released in the dubbed versions of Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil languages. ## Toxic has some of the well-known craftsmen of world cinemas attached to it. Hollywood action maestro J.J. Perry, known for the John Wick and Fast & Furious franchises, is choreographing the action sequences, while Oscar-winning VFX house DNEG is handling the visual effects.## The film is produced by KVN Productions and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Superstar Yash's 'Toxic' To Release In December 2025

Mumbai, December 21 - The Indian box office once again is set to be on fire in December 2025 as superstar Yash-fronted gangster action drama Toxic is more or less confirmed to hit the big screen during the month. There is James Cameron's Avatar 3 already slated to release. ## Toxic, directed by National Award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, is currently on floors. It was originally announced for an April 2025 release but due to the delay in production, the film was pushed back. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers are now aiming to release it in December while the exact date will be locked soon. ## Yash who has also produced the film with KVN Productions, is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox for overseas distribution. "The discussions are in very nascent stages but the intent is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the story-telling pattern and visuals of Toxic are right up there with international projects and is exploring the possibilities of partnering with a global giant for a massive release", reports Pinkvilla. ## Meanwhile, Yash also has a mega project Ramayana in the production stage. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic is being made in two parts with both parts scheduled to hit the big screens on the occasion of the Diwali festival in 2026 and 2027. Yash Officially Confirms 'Toxic' Postponement; Also Talks About Epic 'Ramayana'

Mumbai, October 22 - After the mega success of KGF: Chapter 2, superstar Yash returned to set with the upcoming gangster action drama Toxic which is being directed by national award-winning director Geethu Mohandas. The film is currently on floors and will be released next year. ## Toxic was announced last year with the release date which was April 10, 2025. However, it was recently reported that the movie had been postponed due to date issues of involved actors. The movie has Nayanathara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi, among others in prominent roles. ## Now, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the superstar officially confirmed that Toxic won't be released on April 10. He said that it was premature to announce the release date even before the shoot started and not considering the schedules of other actors. ## When asked about the new release date, Yash said that he doesn't want to announce it right now and would make things official in due time. The actor also confirmed that Oscar and National award-winning company, DNEG is going the VFX work of Toxic. ## Apart from Toxic, Yash is also working on the epic Ramayana which he called a dream passion project. The actor said that he was in Los Angeles where he discussed the possible collaboration with Namit Malhotra, who has been working on Ramayana for many years, and that's where they decided to work on this and Yash came on board to play Ravan/Lankesh. ## Yash confirmed that he is co-producing Ramayana with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus as the two have the same vision to take Indian cinema globally with this epic. The actor said that he is playing the role of Ravan, which many believe is the masterstroke, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. ## While Ranbir Kapoor was the first choice for the role of Ram, Yash said that it was a collective decision of the makers to bring Sai Pallavi on board for the character of Sita. Mumbai, September 10 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is the biggest Indian film in the making and the shoot for the same is happening at a brisk pace with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Mumbai, February 5 - Kannada superstar Yash soared to nationwide popularity after the mega-blockbuster KGF film franchise and after one-and-a-half-year, he recently announced his next film which is Toxic with Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas.## Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have approached Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for a key extended role. "It's an author-backed role and not one of those just added for a gimmick.
