Rohit Shetty Announces Re-Release of Superhit 'Singham'

Mumbai, October 11 - Maverick filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the team have announced the re-release of Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham (2011) ahead of the release of Singham Again which is scheduled for Diwali 2024 launch. ## Singham, which was the first movie in Shetty's Cop Universe, will be re-released in cinemas on October 18 across the country. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Govind Namdev, Ashok Saraf, and Murali Sharma, among others in key roles. ## A remake of the 2010 Tamil film of the same title by Hari, Singham was originally released in July 2011 and was a big box office success. The movie grossed 130 crores at the domestic box office and approximately 20.50 crores overseas for a worldwide total of 150+ crore. It was one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of the year. ## Singham Returns, the sequel was released in 2014 and bettered the box office performance over its predecessor by grossing over 200 crores worldwide. Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'OMG 2' CBFC Certificate and Official Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Mumbai, July 31 - Akshay Kumar-fronted social drama film "OMG 2" has been in the tussle with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as the censor board is closely reviewing the movie to avoid any kind of controversy. The film deals with the subject of sex education in India and there might be a religious angle that the CBFC has been monitoring. ## There were reports that CBFC has asked the makers to make some changes and suggested that they cut some scenes. The board also offered an 'only adult' certificate, and now, it is revealed that the movie has been certified with an 'A' certificate, which means only 18+ can watch the film in theaters.## Directed by Amit Rai, "OMG 2" was censored today (July 31) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 36 minutes. CBFC Asks For Major Changes In Akshay Kumar-Starrer 'OMG 2': Report

Mumbai, July 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's social comedy-drama "OMG 2" is scheduled to release on August 11 but the makers are yet to receive the censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).## It was recently reported that the Examining Committee (EC) of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) referred the Akshay Kumar-starrer to the Revising Committee (RC) due to its religious content. It has been reported that CBFC is being very careful about the movie as it feels "OMG 2" content is slightly controversial.## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, the Revising Committee has suggested several changes in the films, which the makers are not comfortable with. "In all, the RC has asked for 20 cuts. These include both visual and audio deletions. On top of it, they have also suggested the makers opt for an adults-only certification", the report says.## The makers, however, are reportedly not ready for these many changes as they believe that it'll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an "A" certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages. ## The makers have been putting their efforts to get the movie censored as soon as possible so that they could release the trailer and have an on-scheduled release. It is directed by Amit Rai and is produced by Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios, and Wakaoo Films. Salman Khan's Radhe Fails To Impress Audience Despite The Unprecedented Response On OTT

Mumbai, May 14, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" released amid a huge buzz. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the movie opted for a hybrid release simultaneously in theaters and on multiple digital platforms via pay-per-view on May 13 in India. Overseas, it still released in theaters.## As expected, a record number of people watched Radhe on ZeePlex and Zee5. The response was Unprecedented that the server of ZeePlex was crashed multiple times due to the heavy traffic, which was fixed later. Salman Khan Apologizes To Cinema Owners; Wishes To Release Radhe In Theaters When Lockdown Ends

Mumbai, May 11, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has apologized to theater owners who were hoping actor's upcoming film, "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" to release in theaters and help them recover their losses due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Prabhudheva, the movie will start streaming on multiple platforms, including OTT and DTH services, on May 13 at the festival of Eid. It will also release in theaters whenever they are open in India, though most of the states have shut the cinemas due to the second covid-19 wave. ## "I apologize to cinema owners who were hoping to earn profits with the release of this film. We waited as long as we could, hoping that this pandemic would end and we would be able to release in theatres all over the country. But that did not happen. We don't know when things will go back to normal", Salman Khan told reporters in a roundtable interview from Mumbai. ## "I couldn't have kept my Eid commitment with fans without the support of ZEE. It was important to release the film at a time like this because people are suffering due to the pandemic. Incomes have reduced for many, so now, instead of spending a lot of money on tickets at the cinemas, people can watch it at a much cheaper rate at home. I want to provide some entertainment to people at a grim time like this", Salman said. ## However, the actor again expressed his desire to release the film in theaters when things subside and it is 'safe' for people to visit cinema halls. ## "I know people are disappointed that they will not be able to watch Radhe on the big screen. Some people have booked auditoriums and are planning to screen my film, which I won't encourage because I don't want people to say 'Salman Khan ki picture dekhne gaye aur corona phail gaya'. Once everything is safe, we will release the film again in the theatres. We hope the film does well then too", the actor said.## Radhe is said to have a remake of the 2017 Korean film The Outlaws. Mumbai, March 1 (IANS) Veteran Actor Govind Namdev, who is known for his villainous streak in movies like 'OMG - Oh My God!' and 'Bandit Queen', has joined the cast of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. ## "I'm playing a pivotal role in the film. I'm shooting in Jaipur. It feels really great to work with such talented actors of this generation. Kiara Advani is the finest actress and Kartik is a heartthrob. Both have given hit films in the recent times and I really admire their work and talent," Govind said. ## "So it feels great to work with such a star cast. They really give a lot of respect to me.
