Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon To Join Shahid Kapoor In Cocktail Sequel

Mumbai, December 18 - Rashmika Mandanna is on the signing spree and has locked another Bollywood film with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. The actress already has Chhaava and Thama with the studio and their collaboration extended to one more film. ## Recently, it was reported that Maddock Films to scheduling the sequel to 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail with an entirely new cast. It was revealed that Shahid Kapoor has been signed on to headline Cocktail 2, taking over from Saif Ali Khan, who played the lead in the first film alongside Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. ## Now, according to the latest report, Rashmika Mandanna has been locked to play one of the female leads opposite Shahid in this love triangle sequel. This marks Shahid and Rashmika's first film together after the duo came close to sharing the screen in Anees Bazmee's, now-shelved, comedy entertainer. ## The second female lead of Cocktail is said to be Kriti Sanon who is a frequent collaborator with Maddock Films. The actress will be reuniting with Shahid after this year's hit romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which was also bankrolled by Maddock. ## Cocktail is written by Luv Ranjan and he will be involved through the entire creative process as a partner on the film. The script is said to be loaded with humour and light-hearted moments, centring around friendship between the trio. 'Cocktail' Sequel In The Works With Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, November 23 - With franchises making waves at the Bollywood box office, more and more standalone films are getting sequels and the latest to join this trend is 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail which was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. ## Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films with others, Cocktail was a box office hit with over 120 crores gross collection worldwide. Now, more than a decade later when franchises are succeeding at the box office, Maddock Films has put Cocktail 2 in the making. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Dinesh Vijan has been working idea of the sequel with director Homi Adajania and they've now crafted a storyline that they believe matches the magic of the first film. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is in talks to headline the project. ## Shahid has not yet signed on the dotted line but has reportedly verbally committed to this film, which would mark his second collaboration with Maddock following this year's robotic romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The report further states that the talks are on with young actresses to come on board. ## The film is expected to start rolling by the middle of 2025 after Shahid completes Vishal Bhardwaj's action thriller which goes on the floor this December. Angrezi Medium to re-release in Dubai as theaters reopen on May 27

Late Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium which theatrical release was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the country, is all set to become one of the first movies to be released in Dubai as the cinemas are reopening there on Wednesday, May 27 after the two months of break. ## However, the film will not get to release with full capacity as the cinemas have to follow some strict guidelines issued by the government. Irrfan Khan hospitalized after actor's health deteriorates

Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) Actor Irrfan Khan is once again hospitalized. Amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, the actor reportedly has been admitted in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.## The actor's health suddenly deteriorated as a result of which he needed immediate medical attention. The 53-year-old actor has been admitted to the hospital's ICU, according to a report in aajtak.in. His wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons are with him.## The actor has been ailing ever since he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor a while back and has been under medical attention for the same.## Irrfan is currently mourning the loss of his mother. Kiku Sharda: Wish 'Angrezi Medium' released a bit earlier or later

Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) Actor-comedian Kiku Sharda feels bad that Irrfan Khan's comeback film "Angrezi Medium" didn't get a proper run at the box-office owing the shutdown of theatres all over India in the wake of the escalating COVID-19 pandemic. I really wish that 'Angrezi Medium' would have released a little earlier or little after -- at least, we would have had a proper release. The movie was taken down after one day of release. People are in awe of the story as well. 'Angrezi Medium' family reunites virtually

New Delhi, April 6 (IANS) Irrfan Khans "Angrezi Medium" released at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was starting to hit India, resulting in the closure of theatres around the country. 'Laadki' song in 'Angrezi Medium' talks of father-daughter bond

Mumbai, March 11 (IANS) After the peppy 'Kudi nu nachne de' in the upcoming 'Angrezi Medium', music composer duo Sachin-Jigar have released their new song for the same film, titled 'Laadki'.## A special video of "Kudi nu nachne de" has brought together top Bollywood actresses Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma, along with Radhika Madan who features in the film as hero Irrfan Khan's daughter.## Even as "Kudi nu nachne de" rocks the nation, Sachin-Jigar have released "Laadki", sung by Rekha Bharadwaj.
