Karan Johar Plans To Produce Biographical War Epic For Every Independence Day

Mumbai, August 29, 2021: Karan Johar is one of the biggest filmmakers in the Bollywood film industry. Over the years, he has produced and directed some of the most critically and commercially acclaimed films. The star producer has his hands full of blockbuster movies. ## Karan Johar under his production house, Dharma Productions has plenty of films lined up including Sooryavanshi, Brahmastra, Liger, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, among few others. Apart from these movies, the filmmaker has a plan to produce biographical war epics every Independence day. ## According to reports, Karan Johar, after the critical and mass success of two war-hero bio-pics - Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in 2020 and Shershaah in 2021, which were both released during the Independence Day weekend, intends to make his Independence Day films a regular occurrence. He has already acquired the biopic rights of a Gandhian and freedom fighter of India, Usha Mehta, which will be released during Independence day weekend in 2022. ## Usha Mehta, who ran an underground pirate radio called Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement and gave tough time to the British Government, was conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of India, post-Independence. Her biopic will be directed by Kannan Iyer. ## Apart from Mehta's biopic, Karan recently announced the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought a legendary courtroom battle to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. According to reports, Karan Johar is looking to gather the names and achievements of other soldiers, war heroes and freedom fighters. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 24, 2021: Actor Aadar Jain, who recently featured in "Hello Charlie" film, wishes to be a part of a superhero franchise. The actor, who claims to be a huge fan of the Batman franchise, says that as an artiste, he would love to enthrall children with his films. ## "I would love to be a part of a superhero project. Growing up, I was a huge fan of Batman and idolized him for what he stood for. The Batman Nolan franchise is my all-time favorite", Aadar said according to TOI. ## "I have marvelled at the superheroes all my life as they are true spectacles for audiences and I have this long-standing wish to be a part of a superhero universe".## "I think I'm trying to manifest this dream to become a reality and I would be over the moon if this ever happens. As an actor, I like doing projects that appeal to kids and families and I hope that this dream of mine becomes a reality", the young actor added.## Aadar Jain was last seen in the recently released comedy movie, "Hello Charlie". It was released directly on Amazon Prime Video on April 9 and received bad reviews from the critics and audiences. On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of India, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has organized an online patriotic film festival, which will run from August 7.## The 'Patriotic Film Festival' which is a part of Independence Day Celebrations 2020 by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), is scheduled to run till August 21.
