New Delhi, August 24 - The winners of the 69th National Film Awards have been announced today (August 24) during a press conference by the Jury at the National Media Center, New Delhi. This year's National Award will be bestowed upon the best Indian movies and artists of 2021. ## Last year, during the 68th National Film Awards, Ajay Devgn and Suriya won Best Actors for "Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior" and "Soororai Pottru", respectively. The Best Actress award was won by Aparna Balamurali, the co-star of Suriya in Soororai Pottru movie.## This year, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun created history by becoming the first ever actor from Telugu cinema to win the Best Actor National award for "Pushpa - The Rise". RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' Song Is Among The Most Favorites To Score Oscars 2023 Nomination

Hyderabad, October 7 - The Oscars 2023 buzz is picking up with each passing day, and first the first time in many years, an Indian movie is seriously making noise in the form of maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's global blockbuster RRR. ## The period action drama film was snubbed by the Indian jury for the country's official Oscars 2023 entry against the Gujarati movie Chhello Show, however, Rajamouli and the USA distributor of the film will be submitting the film in the general category.## The makers have submitted "RRR" in the 15 categories for the Academy members to consider for the nominations. The submission of the film includes the category, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Original Song, among others. ## "RRR" is predicted to grab Oscar nominations in a couple of categories but it is the Best Original Song category in which the movie can score nominations. Hyderabad, September 19, 2021: The prestigious, South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), which honors the best artistic and technical achievements of the south Indian film industry, were held on September 19 in a star-studded ceremony in Hyderabad.## The first day of the awards ceremony was attended by some of the biggest artists of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema such as Mahesh Babu, Nani, Rashmika Mandanna, Shruti Haasan, Shine Tom Chacko, among others. ## On day 1, the best South Indian actors and movies of 2019 were honored.
