Drishyam 2 Review: Check Out What Viewers Have To Say About Mohanlal Starrer
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's suspense thriller film, Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazone Prime Video on February 19. Directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas, Drishyam 2 is a sequel to the 2013 film, Drishyam which starred Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Siddique, and Kalabhavan Shajon in key roles. ##
The sequel of Drishyam was supposed to release in theaters in January 2021, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers decided to skip its theatrical release to make it available directly on Amazon Prime Video for the worldwide audience. The OTT release of Drishyam 2 invited sheer criticism among the Kerala Film Industry as the Film Chamber expressed its disappointment over this movie to skip theaters. ##
The story of Drishyam 2 takes place six years after the events of Drishyam that follows the struggle of Georgekutty and his family, who come under suspicion when Varun Prabhakar, the son of the Inspector-general of police (IG), gets killed by the family after an attempt to physically harass Georgekutty's daughter. ##
