The project is currently in the writing phase with production slated to begin next year. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Ekta Kapoor has roped in Aakash Kaushik to write and direct Udta Punjab 2. Although the casting for the film will commence after the compilation of the script, Ekta is keen on bringing Shahid Kapoor back in the lead role.## The filmmaker reportedly briefly discussed the film with Shahid and the formal talks will happen soon. Mumbai, November 12 - Ajay Devgn-fronted Singham Again became the third Bollywood movie of 2024 to surpass 200 crores net collection on its second Sunday (10th day) after Fighter and Stree 2, and third Hindi film after Kalki 2898 AD. ## The Rohit Shetty's directorial venture minted approximately 207 crores net until the second Sunday which made it the 36th Bollywood movie and 40th film ever in Hindi to breach the 200 crores net mark. Mumbai, November 3: Singham Again, despite competing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, opened robustly at the box office on November 1, 2024, with an impressive India net collection of 43.70 Cr (producers figure). However, discrepancies in reported figures have led to speculation about the authenticity of these numbers, with some trade analysts citing collections between 38 Cr to 41 Cr for Hindi net. ## Our analysis reveals that the film's tracked gross collection from 13,810 shows on its opening day was 43.44 Cr. Typically, there's a 2%-5% variance between online ticket sales data and actual attendance due to last-minute bookings or ticket sales at the box office after online platforms close. This adjustment pushes the estimated online collection to between 44.30 Cr and 45.61 Cr. ## Moreover, the offline market, which includes single-screen theaters not represented in online booking systems, adds another layer to the collection tally. Historical data from blockbuster releases like "Jawan," "Gadar 2," and "Stree 2" suggest that offline collections can significantly boost total figures. For instance, "Stree 2" tracked collection was 47 Cr gross but later adjusted to nearly 65 Cr Gross due to offline sales. ## The offline market for the Hindi belt is around 20 Cr Gross. Given the Diwali release and competition, it's estimated that "Singham Again" captured about 11 Cr from the offline market, split in a 55:45 ratio with "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3." With an overall occupancy rate of 65% and considering data from over 100 single-screen theaters, we estimate "Singham Again" garnered approximately 7.50 Cr from this segment. Mumbai, June 17 - Ayushmann Khurrana and Kareena Kapoor are teaming up for the first time for director Meghna Gulzar's next film which is said to be based on the horrifying 2019 Hyderabad Rape Case, according to the report by Pinkvilla. ## "It's a hard-hitting film that warrants the presence of actors with the calibre of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana. The duo read the script and were shocked by the details of the case. After Talvar, this is another film that could shock the nation and stir a conversation about the case", says the report.## The movie has reportedly been titled Daayra and it will be produced by Junglee Pictures which also produced Ayushmann Khurrana's Doctor G. The team is looking to take Daayra on floors by the end of this year and will release in theatres worldwide in 2025. ## The Hyderabad rape case shocked the nation when a 26-year-old veterinary doctor was gang-raped and murdered in November 2019.
