Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) The trailer of director Gautham Vasudev Menon's upcoming action thriller 'Joshua' has received over a million views in less than a day of being released on YouTube. ## The trailer of 'Joshua', which features actors Varun, Krishna and Raahei in the lead, was released by music director A.R. Rahman. ## Interestingly, the film does not have music by Rahman but by Karthik, who is known for his singing skills. Rahman, while releasing the trailer, said that he was glad to present the trailer of his dear friend Gautham Menon's 'Joshua'. ## The film, which is produced by Ishari K. Suriya Plays A Retired Madras High Court Judge In 'Jai Bhim' Based On A Real 1993 Legal Battle!

Chennai, July 29, 2021: Tamil superstar Suriya is working on some of the most exciting and intriguing films. One of them is his 39th film, titled "Jai Bhim", directed by Tha Se Gnanavel and produced by the actor's home banner, 2D Entertainment. ## "Jai Bhim" is based on a real-life courtroom incident. In a recent interview, director TJ Gnanavel has said that the film is based on a real legal battle of a famous lawyer Chandru who brought justice to an Irular tribe woman in 1993. Mr. Chandru was a retired Madras High Court judge when he fought the case for a Tribal woman. Suriya plays justice Chandru's role in the film. ## Though Suriya initially thought of only producing the film, he later read a book on Chandru and came forward to play the particular character. Retd. Judge Chandru is a highly respected Judge, who disposed of 96,000 cases. Gnanavel says contrary to reports, Suriya plays the lead and it's not an extended cameo. ## Manikandan and Lijo Mol Jose play the tribal pair in the film. Rajisha Vijayan is the female lead while Prakash Raj plays an upright cop in Jai Bhim. Sean Roldan is composing the music for the film, SR Kathir cranks the camera, and Philomin Raj takes care of the cuts. ## Apart from Jai Bhim, Suriya will also be starring in Etharkkum Thunindhavan (Suriya 40), directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Hrithik Roshan To Star As Vedha In The Hindi Adaptation Of Tamil Movie 'Vikram Vedha'?

From the last couple of months, there have been speculations about Hrithik Roshan starring in the Hindi remake of 2017's Tamil movie, "Vikram Vedha". Since Hrithik is already in talks with filmmakers for multiple projects, it wasn't sure when will he begin this action thriller as he didn't give his nod back then. ## However, it is now reported that the actor has given his nod and locked this film as his next. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Hrithik will essay the role of a gangster 'Vedha' which was played by Vijay Sethupathi in the original Vikram Vedha while Saif Ali Khan is reportedly playing Vikram. The report also suggests that the director duo, Pushkar"“Gayathri who helmed the original, will be returning to direct the Hindi remake too. ## While the title for the Hindi remake is yet to be locked, it has been said that the movie will go on floors this summer as pre-production work is going on at a rapid pace. Amazon Prime Gets Big, To Release 9 Films Including 3 Hindi Films In Coming Days

The over-the-top (OTT) platform, Amazon Prime Video has announced 9 Indian films including three much anticipated Hindi movies, which the streaming platform will release in the upcoming months. Among the Hindi films, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No 1, Chhalaang starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha, Durgavati starring Bhumi Pednekar have been slated to release on Amazon Prime. Suriya starrer Tamil film Soorarai Pottru will also release on the platform. ## Here is the complete schedule of movies releasing on Amazon Prime Video -## 1. Coolie No 1 (Hindi) - 25th December - Coolie No. 1 is a family comedy based on the popular franchise from Pooja Entertainment and is directed by David Dhawan who also helmed the original Coolie No 1 starring Govinda and Karishma Kapoor. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav amongst others, and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh.## 2. Chhalaang (Hindi)- 13th November - Chhalaang is a social comedy starring Rajkummar Rao, Nushratt Baruchaa, and directed by Hansal Mehta.
